Glasswars' Build: srt hood pics (now flat black)

Alright so pretty off-topic turn, I just ordered an AEM intake. I had no plans of this, but they were being sold for 120$ SHIPPED! So spending now will save me later. Also, another valve cover is on the way to get painted.

So heres the list of things I need to get painted, and what color. (the more I bring the more discount I get. )

AEM Intake (Ordered - Gold or Blaze Red or Black?!?!)
Valve Cover (Ordered - GOLD w/ Black Lettering )
Front Strut Brace Bracket and Bolts ( Already Have - GOLD )
Injector Cover (Already Have - Blaze Red w/ Black Lettering)
Fuse Box Cover (Already Have - Blaze Red)
Folding Mirrors (Need to order - Blaze Red)
AVS Spoiler (Need to order - Blaze Red)
Rear Tension Struts (Need to order - GOLD!!!!!)
I think that's it lol...

I have been thinking way ahead and what I would like to do in November/December..
- Wrap headliner and pillars in plaid fabric.
- Get transmission and internals inspected for TURBO, get it sprayed gold! By TAB Transmissions. The owner has a SRT-4 and a very nice rep on srt-4mation.com
- Save up for some ROTA BOOSTS!

But things can change lol...

CarbonByDesign.com sells the spoilers in fiberglass and CF.

I think the intake should be black.....I really have to see this gold stuff put together. I don't think I'm going to go for the plaid though. Just being honest, I don't like it in VWs....I don't think I'd like it in a neon. But....carry on with your JDM bad self.

That's great. I can't wait to see the red/gold. I think it will look good if done right and not over the top. However, that part gold would be hideous!

So things have been pretty quiet. Got paid today. Just ordered:

- Smoke film for fog lights and tail lights.
- Muteki Red Close Ended lugnuts.
- Folding Mirrors.
- Wheel Paint.
- Mopar Rear Tension Struts.

Still need to get an AVS, trying to find a used one, don't feel like spending 200 bucks on a new one. I have some pretty intresting ideas going on for when I take all my stuff to my body guy.

Mold in AVS, shave 3rd brake light, and keyhole. ( Maybe.)
Black Roof (Will definitely do this.)
New paint on front bumper, can't describe it, and I'm on my dads laptop at starbucks, cause my internet at my house doesn't work, so no photochops either. It's an idea similar to the new front bumpers on GTI's. But this will most likely not be done or I will wait till next year.

I vote you try and get the fabric from the '08 GTi seats to do your headliner / pillars in. Its a really classy plaid with a nice red line in it.

LOLOL the sig is a photochop. But if all goes according to plan it will look exactly like that. And the fabric for the headliner will be similar to the GTI seat fabric.

Wheels will be done next week, all individual parts are going off to paint September 26th, tint should be done in October. If I have extra cash, black roof is in order.

Should be awesome, I love your car! But, I was reading you're doing CL tails??..... is that a VW approved mod??? I guess maybe if they are smoked like the GTI or w/e taillights are you might be ok. I really like the stockies on your car though

Ahh ok, sounds like a better idea. Although I'd think just a few coats would look better than black... I'm not a huge fan of the completely blacked out light look. I kinda wanna put a coat or two of Niteshades on my stockies and put them back on.

AVS Spoiler: Blaze Red
2.0L Valve Cover: Gold
Injector Cover: Black w/ gold flakes, Blaze Red text
Fuse Box Cover: Blaze Red
AEM Intake: Black w/ gold flakes
Front strut brace brackets and bolts: Gold
Mopar Rear Tension Struts: Gold
Folding Mirrors: Blaze Red

Dropping it all off tomorrow, hoping to have it by Thursday. Starting sanding down the R/T wheels. It fucking blows. Hoping to have that done by Thursday but I don't think it'll be done till Saturday.

Eyelids are off for now.

Also taillight/foglight tint will be here this week, along with the red lugnuts from Muteki.

i dont know if you have it listed but is the AVS the carbonbydesign one?? how is the fit if it is?? i want one.
cant wait to see the gold when it is done.i cant realy picture it,but i am sure it will look sweet.
