Just got off the phone with the insurance company. Apparently the hold-up is that they’re claiming this is a hit and run accident, and they need the accident report from the cops. I love their logic, although I do not understand how they get hit and run from I HIT A MOTHERFUCKING PHONE POLE!!!!!

I have called the insurance company atleast once a day all week, and they had all of the information they needed all week... now they needed a statement from me because my address doesn't match what they have on file... so after 5 chats with me nobody noticed this, and NOW the claim can be reviewed, so I get to call back Monday again...

A God Damn week and a half and NOW the claim can be reviewed, then when it's approved it'll take another week to be repaired, so I'm not going to have my car for almost 3 weeks for this buillshit!!!!!

Claim was finally approved a few minutes ago. I'm having the body shop fax over a copy of the estimate to see if there is anything I can do myself to make this a wee bit less expensive for myself... or if they'll even allow that.

Should be one week until my car is done, so perhaps it'll be a bit less and I can drive it again on Friday!!!!!

As soon as I get the estimate, I'll post it up here for you guys.

Congrats! As much as you want it to be done fast, be patient and want it done right over a speedy recovery.

So they are replacing your front bumper/fascia and right fender. They are repairing your hood and replacing your wheel and suspension that was damaged... axle and it looks like knuckle. Then they are sending it out for alignment.

I talked to them and the guy went over it (pretty cool guy too) apparently that stuff is all getting done, they’re replacing the pass. headlight, and pass. side marker light, although the side marker will be an amber colored stocker which won’t match the drivers side… which is total B.S.

I also asked if I could sub my own parts in (projectors are only 250 shipped compared to one pass. side stocker which is over 300, but that is a no go, the insurance company wants to inspect the car before I get it back, so everything has to go back on stockfish. So I am going to fight with the insurance company about the side marker and possibly the wheel since when I told the guy it’s off of a PT Cruiser he was surprised. Apparently they were going to give me some other 16” wheel and tire…

Just got off the phone with the body shop, and I will be able to pick the car up in about a week. They have the bad parts ripped off, and the new ones are on order, so as soon as they get in, they can paint the car, toss the parts on (or will they do that first?) and then I can come pick it up.

Just got off the phone with the body shop. They’re waiting on the wheel and tire to come in, which SHOULD be by Thursday.

Still haven't heard from the body shop that it's finished, so I'm ever so slightly nervous...

however, on the good side, my new side markers showed up today, and on monday, my new projector headlights should be here.

Now if only my HIDs were here...

Just picked up the car, and I am NOT happy. The hood doesn't line up with the fenders, bumper OR headlights. The inner fender and outer fender do not meet up, the bumper and fender don't line up, and the "structural repair" they did, still didn't fix the motor mount.

I brought the car home so I can use it while we figure this out, but I am soooo pissed right now... pics below, the ones marked "after" are from today.

Just got a call back from the insurance company, I have to take the car back to the body shop on Saturday, and they'll try to fix the problems.

The part that gets me is that the estimate said repair structural damage. so they pulled the area around the washer bottle (poorly, it's still rippled) but left the strut tower bent in. and the alignment shop said they got the alignment perfect... I do'nt think I have heard of anybody getting the alignment on a lowered Neon perfect, lol.

Yeah... June 16th...Multiple car accident...About $10,200 of front end damage.... (bumper went under the other car). I made a small posting about in the random posting section....

I should be getting her back next week ?...?

I didn't have pictures to post so I figured I'd wait till I got some from the shop and got the car back.

Wow, shocking that they got everything to line up (exteriorly) as well as they did with the rail looking like that. Ask for a copy of your insurance companies estimate. If they were paid to replace the rail, the rail should be replaced not repaired. And that is one hell of a special ed hammer/dolly move on that rail if ever there was one. I'd LOVE to see what it looks like with the fender off.

Fucked up that they only paid 1.5 hours to repair that. Strange strange occurences. And two wheel alignment?! WTH is that? You can't just align two wheels. Thats the biggest scam in suspension work.
