$3500 seems much more reasonable than the $5k you were asking for it. Sucks to see it sold, but life goes on
Bluebook told me 4800 in fair condition. NADA.com said less, so I lowered the price to 4K on CL, and the guy who ended up buying came out Thursday night to look at it. Then yesterday he was going to meet me to buy, but couldn't make it, so he sent his brother to "leave me a deposit."
So the guy shows up, looks over the car a little bit and tries to negotiate with me again! I was quite pissed off since we'd already agreed on a price the day before. Then the dude offers me "20 or 30 bucks" as a deposit.
Thankfully the guy came through on his $3500 tag or I'd have been pissed that I cancelled on the 3 other people who wanted to look at it.
