What?
Is this some new fangled trick I've never heard of?
If not, good like keeping the head sealed..... :slap:
Yea I'm with BRR on this one. I've never heard of anybody painting headgaskets. I've had a few rough heads that I've applied a lil headgasket sealant spray to but never paint. The one thing I would worry about is not sealing and creating a good leak.

its just high heat spraypaint.... i was told my a srt guru to use this... in my opinion it makes sense because when i pulled off my oem gasket it was warped and rusty, this high heat paint should keep the heat under control and free of rust.. he says he does it to all the motors he builds and hasnt ever had a problem... so i decided ok ill do it lol..
with bare minum mill thickness i cant imagin it not getting a good seal.. i made sure the gasket was cured b4 i applied and bolted the head on it...

MLS head gaskets are layers of stainless steel, the rust you saw was from the block.

personally if it was me, doing all this work, I would get a new head gasket. $60 dollar part could REALLY ruin your day when you start seeing oil in the antifreeze.

Yea the head gasket is new... I wouldn't use a used head gasket on a build like this...

My Powdercoat guy, put way too much clear on them and they didn't fit right and since they didn't fit 100% I didn't want to chance them... So I had them strip them and then I'm gonna paint them then sell
