i started a little project, since i painted over my ac gauge its hard to see.


with just 3 leds

7 leds




its hard to see but in person there is a white halo looking ring around the knobs but iv got a new bezel that im gonna try to see what it looks like with the leds

Can't wait to see the results. The lighting on Neon HVAC controls sucks big time. I had something similar in mind, but since you are there already...

yea i have to figure out how i can make it so it showes more light thru. id say its about 50 percent dont all the hard stuff is done.

Yeah, getting the light in there is the big hurdle. It would be nice if the overlay was the same as it is for our clusters, but alas, it isn't.

whered u wire in the extra leds? i took off the film on the back of the HVAC so i have white lights but i have a dim spot think an extra led would help out alot.

Lotus has alot of nice pearls as well, there's a nice light powerdy kind of blue (similar color to what's on the Mercedes SLs)

Aviemore blue is really dark, that's why I love it so much. I would add something to it to set it apart, what about Black Cherry?

ok, so i started a new job a body shop, i love the experience and all the benifits but the actuall job is just ok. fixing dents gets kinda old. on a wed. my boss cam to me and said i want to get this car done befor saturdays car show. i said im in. so that night i started on it. here is the befor pics and what i orignly had planned. as you can see all of the white circles were dents and dings, and rust. the interior was stock beige (ugly) it had a huge ass dumb tac. it came with blue racing seats so we just ran wit that. im not gonna show all of the detailed work but u;ll see the big stuff.






befor i show the progress pics, i got a bright idea and asked my boss if i could do my bros bike and put it in the show also and sponser the shop with more then just a car. he said sure. so at this point im workin on a 92 accura and a 03 hybusa.

now the busa ( he wanted a flat black but it didnt have protection so i put a dul clear coat on it. he liks it so hes gonna keep it. till next season then im gonna wet sand the clear to make it flat)

and finally my most WTF pic

i fixed over 10 dents, shaved the key hole, shaved from emblem holes fixed the front lip, shaved liscence plate holes, painted james wheels and taillights and turn signals and speaker covers. and all the inteiror since it was beige. my friend arron put all new carpet in stripped the interior, built the entire trunk set up, he wrapped the drums and fiberglass, i bondo glassed and bondoed and sandded and finished. we both did a door pannel he did the rear pannels. he changed the calipers in the rear and pads and put belts on the new udp and adjusted the coilovers to even hight. i put in well over hundred hours and he put almost as much. i stayed a couple nights till 2 and 3 and one night 4 long hard work but we pulled it off. my bro even helped, without him workin on his bike a little id never gotton finished. now im takin this week slow and gonna work on my car and dark matters. SLOWLY lol i also got a new toy today.

thanks glass, i had total creativity freedom on both. im not done with my bros bike im gonna airbrush somethin crzy on his helmet to match, and the car i wanted to do a perl design down the side and on the hood but i ran out of time i literly had to clear one of the wheels cuz my boss was unwraping it the night befor and he got a piece of paper right on the blue pearl so 8 in the morning had to repearl the sombitch. lol

thanks everyone. yea i had my hands full. now my boss is tryin to get it sold and hopfully it does cuz im gonna make him give me a lot of money lo. and all i can say about the led strip is ill b the first to do it. lets just say i cant drive my car till its done. im workin on it tonight so ill be gettin it done asap
