Thanks guys! I would NEVER go lower than 35% because I'm always getting hassled by the cops as it is! I'm still a little worried about the 35% right now...until I get my plate issue fixed (got it suction cupped to the windshield for now) and the tails stripped and re-tinted, the windows are just another reason to fuck with me. It does look a million times better though!

Anyways, here's a few pics of the car I took tonight with my Sony A200 D-SLR. I took a bunch, but these were the only 4 that I liked out of them all. I am impressed with how they came out. I'm so used to my old Panasonic camera that had SUPER grainy pics, so it's really refreshing to see these came out pretty well.

And here's a pic I took, also with the D-SLR, of the gauges at night. This is a more accurate color match of the gauges in person, but still off. The gauges aren't quite as bright as the old bulbs, but the light is better spread than the old bulbs and is a darker blue, which I really like.

Sucks you can't go lower on the tint. Cops around here don't seem to care about the things you do to your car. This includes no front plates, 5% tint, and straight exhausts for a year or longer without trouble.

Funny thing is that my other friend with an old Prelude got pulled over for loud exhaust. His exhaust is stock, meaning really quiet. :tardbang:

Eh, what you gonna do? The local PD isn't what I'm worried about...it's the damn state patrol pricks.

Hey thanks! Everyone in the local car crew says "seeing your car in pictures, then seeing your car in person...it's really that nice!", and that is such a great feeling to hear such great remarks. Even Jason (Diablo0) said something along the same lines at Carlisle last year, and coming from him that was a huge compliment. I'm not trying to sound like I'm bragging...I'm just saying that it's a great sense of accomplishment when you get compliments like that, and everything that is said about the car is greatly appreciated, so thanks 2GN! :)

With a little time, patience and money, you can do anything with your car. Hell, mine took 4 years to be where it's at and I'm far from done.

You know, I wasn't big on the painted stripe on the trunk, but seeing it in the pictures you put up really puts it in perspective, and I LOVE it!

Your compliments are well deserved. That's one nice looking car. I keep chucking along in hopes that I too will have compliments like yours!

Now that I see the clear one, measure it just right so you can paint the bottom portion of the third brake light black. That way the line goes straight across. Paint the top 3/4 silver and it should go much better. The ass end is still growing on me, honestly I think its the spoiler throwing me off. But it's coming along nicely

Thanks hun, I honestly think I just might leave the damn thing clear. It looks really good the way it is. I also have an idea with the spoiler...and I'm not sure I can photochop it, but it would tie in with the silver AND the black. I'll see what I can do with a pic though.

Eeewwww...really? The red one?

Here's a chop that I did that will show what I've been thinking of doing with the spoiler. It's not perfect, but it'll give you an idea of what I may end up doing.

Wow, old pic? No tinted tails, different plates... lol.

So if you repainted the spoiler like that, you'd take the trunk black-out thing off? I like the idea on the spoiler, looks good.

Looks good! I'd personally leave it clear, looks good. What type of red bulb is that? LED? I had an idea that's what you had in mind for the spoiler. I don't think I really like that. I love it the way it is. Looks as close to an AAR spoiler as you can get. But it's up to you and it's coming along great!

That IS an old picture...still had my old wheels on. The only thing that picture represents is the spoiler. I didn't feel like blacking out the tails, the trunk and clearing the 3rd brake light. It's just an idea for the moment.

The trunk actually looks good with the clear 3rd and the silver keyhole. IMO two toning the 3rd would look weird.

I agree with 2-toning the 3rd brake light. I might spray it with some PS2-tinted clear down the road, but for now I'm keeping it the way it is.

The only reason I say that (and a few others) is because you brought the black line up so far that it looks funny being swooped down from the third brake light.

I like the idea of painting the back of the spoiler silver. The all black spoiler stands out like a sore thumb.

I like the clear 3rd brake as it is. Just leave it.
