Superdans Log...Swap update

For the last year and a half me grandfather and i have been looking for on 03+ dodge neon and then 6 months ago BAM! His friend at a dealership bought one at an auction and found it didnt have power steering of a/c so they figured it was too much money to put into it to resell. So the guy offered it to my grandfather and he called me and told me. I asked him what called and if it was a stick. Told him yes and took the money down. 2003 dodge neon with 32,xxx miles for $4000. Knowing it was going to be somewhat of a project my grandfather asked me if i really wanted it and i said yeah. I want to build this car as if i was a daimler chrysler engineer. i want it to look and feel like i would of designed it. So the project began......

so here we go...

First day that I brought her home.

upon me knowing the car didnt have a/c and power steering i soon discover that the car had no intake filter and just had a pretty good size piece of pvc pipe as the air intake (shown below)

Now we move on to the exhaust (shown below). To me i hated it at first but it didnt sound bad. It also had a long tube header also. Anyways the kid just ran straight pip and a flex pipe and topped it off with a autozone 3" tip.

On to the interior. The interior was pretty much left alone besides the seatbelts being taken out (no picture) and the radio being replaced by a peice of cardboard (shown below)

Also as you can see there is an after market shift knob, But what you cant is that i have no way of getting it off because the hex bolts are stripped

Now to the junk that WASNT in my trunk. Yup thats right no spare tire no jack no carpet (shown below)

On the exterior the car had some minor scuffs and some bad wax jobs or paint one of the two that left some nice swirls in the paint. The hood has a million rock chips in it that you really cant see unless you look and a big gash in the rear bumper. (its hard to see since the car is black and it was sunny that day)

Didnt want to cloud up one post with just the biography of the car and the first day i brought it home.

Here are the mods i have done....

Before i even had the car home i purchased a pair of srt-4 viper seats. (pictured below installed)

Then a couple weeks later i got all the missing parts installed( i.e power steering, a/c seatbelts, trunk accessories) No pics because it went my mechanic because i was working alot and needed money for more mods!!!!

Once all that was out of the way i was in the clear to start modding it more. I got bored of how the exterior looked and decided to order some tail lights( euro SLK smoked) and headlights(black housing) along with some vinyl eyelids. (pictured below)

While is was doing all this i had installed an out cd player i had. Wasnt working for me so i upgraded. (pic below)

After driving the car i felt like i need some better breathing room for the engine. So i bought a Weapon R Secret Weapon Short Ram Intake. (pic below)

Before getting a car i had big plans for it. An Srt exhaust was one of them. I bought it from a memeber on this forum (slickneon) met him and brought it home. Took it to my garage and starred at it for a good 5 minutes and thought my plans are comming trough. i got it put on an bought a new set of tail lights (depo L.E.D.) dont have a pic of either put i do have a video that shows both.

So that has me caught up to where i am at now. As for my plans. Right now i am working on buying a complete rear ended srt thats about 5 min from me. But if that doesnt go through im still going to look. In the mean time its getting repainted a secrete color that i cant reveal until i know its a go and im getting rims soon as winter is over.... (pic of the rims below)

The custom fabbed intake thats on your car AKA a ghetto blaster, I've made one like that and it just begs for an AFX/R ECU to rev to 8k, you lose a little low end but get a crap ton of top end!

Yeah..you want to have an air filter on it. They wrk pretty well if built right. One thing to keep an eye on though is the seems to make sure you don't get or have any vacum leaks.

Since my last update which was ages ago i have done quit a few mods...cant really remember everything in order so im just going to post pics and a little commentary lol enjoy

Sold my black housing to Ryan (sidepipe87) and picked up the new depo projectors.

Then i finally got some rims. They Tenzo Type M's 17x7 with Hankook NS1 205/40/17...

And finally got my sideskirts painted so i could put on my lip kit!!!

^^Getting her rear lip put on and you can also see i tinted the depo led tail lights

^^rear lip on with my middle section rolled

^^only pic right now of the front lip on...No pics of the sideskirt install because me and ryan did them at his place before we hit the road for carlisle haha

Ryans BROTHER had a spare center console and mine was all eff'd up with a worthless switch i had no need for so we swapped it out

Parts i dont have pictures of: Shorty vinyl eyelids, in-channel rain gaurds, Blue leds in cluster and HVAC, Boomba Oil cap.

Near future mods:
-Rear disc swap (waiting to receive)
-Secret powdercoating and painting of random parts (need to buy paint)
-Coilovers (saving money for these haha)
-New leds in the cluster and HVAC and also trunk bulb (waiting to receieve)
-DIY grounds upgrade (probably one of the last things i do on this list)
-Catch can (need it badly but again probably one of the last things i do lol )
-Battery relocation

Probably forgot some things i have done but oh well haha i updated for once

Very nice. You also forgot to mention in your older posts that the previous owner put a pass airbag delete in there.
Why didn't you go with the 6 spoke tenzos you had pictured? And what happened with the wrecked SRT deal?

well basically wheels next must not like to update their site cause i had them ordered and they called a few days later to say they didnt have them in stock lol so i put ordering wheels on hold

and the wrecked srt, well to make a long story short my ex bestfriend and pretty much brother lied to me about it...i shouldve known but whatever...a swap will come on day, it will just fall in my lap haha

oh yeah i did forget the airbag delete haha and i forgot i finally got the chrome pieces for the grill and painted them to match haha

-Are the tires Hankooks or Nankangs?? different brands!
