well time is winding down to get things done for carlisle so everyday i get off work i head straight to the garage to work on the neon. I finished up the purple in the engine bay I THINK, but for now this is how you will see my engine bay at carlisle. Hopefully with my 2 days off from work and school next week i will be able to spray the strut towers black and try and get rid of some more wires that are no longer being used or needed.

as you can see the strut towers are super scratched up and need painted badly lol...also in this pic you will see my freshly painted plum crazy valve cover, injector cover with plum crazy letters (couldnt get that to show up in the picture) and i also somewhat polished my engine mount with some steel wool. Still needs a lot of TLC and cleaning. Trying to find somewhere to get the engine bay steam cleaned but no luck yet

posting this pic just because it shows the purple a little better also i bought a brand new OEM ignition coil and wires from the dealer so now mostly everything under my hood is black or purple lol

added purple mopar sticker to the back glass...might add a couple more and be done with stickers but i dont know yet

and this would be my new third brake light. My molded PVO trunk lid has the OEM third brake light deleted out of it. It is from a 99-01 Volkswagen Passat i believe. Saw it on ebay for cheap so i decided to try it and surprisingly it fits the contour of the back glass pretty damn close. Still have to modify it a little but more to make it sit flush. It has this black faux suede type fabric on it that is almost a perfect match to the rear deck carpet. I stuffed two 9" red LED strips inside of it to light it up.

picked these up from manny today...if i can save a little bit of cash for tires i might be rocking these to carlisle. Not sure about that yet though

well thats it for the updates, well the updates that i want you guys to see right now lol Front bumpe, mopar front lip and molded PVO trunk go in for paint on the 28th! Car is also getting buffed at that time too

yes please get that bumper fixed before carlisle.
Hope the trip back home went ok. i was behing a truck when his tire blew and scared the hell out of me.
i wish i woulda known some places around there for a photoshoot but yeah we both didnt have a clue where anything was.

haha bumper will be fixed for carlisle. Yeah my trip back when smooth except for the typical I-70 douche bag drivers lol. We couldve went back to that ghetto deli we met at first in the hood and took some pics lol

that was during the wheel removing..but it really does sit that low. i dont think it looks bad in person. i still got work to do on the front fender wall. just havent had time because thatll take long.

Ryan came to Ohio today and we got a good bit done on my car. Finally installed the fiberglass exhaust delete. It has a small gap between it and the bumper but its on there lol Also we painted my strut towers, hood prop got sandblasted and painted and polished the upper motor mount. Painted my oil dip stick too. All-in-all it was a very productive day.

Molded PVO trunk, new front bumper and mopar lip go in for paint on Monday. Other than that she is about ready for carlisle. Still have a lot of cleaning in the bay to do. Im trying to find a place local here that steam cleans engine bays. Hope to get that done before carlisle also.

just realized i didnt get any pictures of the delete without the tape lol

tape is there to hold it in place while we mounted it to the bumper

ryan had the pleasure of polishing my motor mount lol he also painted the indent thingy black. Turned out real good i think

passanger side tower painted and cleared

drivers side painted and cleared

we also polished the "2.0L 16 Valve" on my valve cover

everything back together

we hid the washer nosel hose inside the bracket the motor mount bolts to. Also taped up the ugly ass red ground wire that was there until i do the ground upgrade

John: Thanks a lot, The engine bay has definitely made a change for the better in the last week. There is still one part of my engine bay that only a couple have seen. Have to wait for carlisle to see it though lol
