I kno but theres only so low i can go static. cuz rite noe as it is if i turn lock to lock it hits the strut rod shit that triangulates the arm and if i turn too fast or hits a bad bump the wheel goues up into the wheel tub.

that and well i still cant loosen up the drivers side torsion bar bolt.

if i can figure it out il drop it. any ideas?

Oh and pics to come of a photo sesh me n wacko had the other day

ANd well today i got a fuckin flat tire. the sidewall fucked up as i went up on the driveway. im pist cuz i was goin so slow. I got out and checked and just heard a "tssssssssssssssss"

so i called the rim shop and dude said he would have me a new tire tomoro for half price since it was the tire that failed and not me who fucked it up.

sounds unbelieveable but u better believe it. im pist but atleast i saved my stocks

updates tomoro

well the bed is beat to shit. inside and out. the flares around the wheels are non existent. And well the cost of fixing it wont be cheap, mainly time,. so ima jus get another one. The dude tht sold me the truck has a bed he wants $100 for and its in way better condition from the side i saw. so ima just get that one.

And another thing, plans have changed once again. the "drag it" fund is no guna be my engine fund. Ima stack up and buy an engine transmission, ima go with a 22RE just cuz of the space issues i may have with bagging. I need a reliable DD so ima go that route

that and ima work on the looks of it, interior, definately exterior and electrical. ima get it running right and fully functional before the "drag it" fund starts

Finally some fuckin progress!!!

So i ordered a new Torsion bar bolt, nuts, and seats last monday, and well the nuts and seats arrived last wednesday. But the bolt lagged til saturday. Apparently there was a mix up and the bolt wasnt ordered or someshit.

But anyway, I havent been able to lower the front driver side cuz the nuts were rusted together. and this is why i bought all new hardware.

So i went to "wacko's" this afternoon, and he busted out the handy dandy torch. He cut up the bolt for me, and in the process we almost got a bolt head thru our fuckin heads after it snapped outta place cuz the torsion was still cranked.

But in the end everything went good. new hardware is in and heres some pics...

the remainder of the nuts
Image

The bitch flew about 5 feet after it snapped outta place, wacko was wetting it to cool it down
Image

And a random shot after i lowered the jack, Jus wanted to see how low it would go :D
Image

It was so close to tucking rim, but the shock bottomed out.

Hopefully the rims will be sold within the next couple weeks and steelies should be on. then il drop the front 2-3 inches maybe 4 if nothing binds up.

well for one i need the funds for an alignment.

And the 19's were a good idea wen i first got them now i dnt really like them. lol

I wana go as low as possible static. and the 19's are guna keep me at around this height with a 3/4 drop

THUG you post the same pic twice ahaha
and i was the one that almost died the bolt came my way at 50MPH and at a whopping 1000 degrees Fahrenheit

put ur glasses on and check again.

hybrid-the hardest part is just choosing the right size wheels/tires so it gets to the height i want. the bigger the wheel, the less of a drop i can do considering wheels offsets and how much i wana be able to turn the wheel.
that and well how much i wana cut and modify.

that and well its guna be lower with smaller wheels anyway. not by much but still a noticeable difference

well why you edit ahah post the pic of the bolt head

Hmm....take your bed off like the example truck posted.

if you get steelies, paint them something bright, not a dull red cuz they'll just look dirty.

and get a fairly small size. looks way better dumped than 3/4

well i wanted to get some 215/45, 225/40. but the dude at the rim shop gave me a pretty good quote on some 235/40s. so the wheel will still look a lil wide and give me a nice thick sidewall.

i thought about just keeping my stock 14s but i want a lil bigger wheel.

If i do end up getn the steelies ima keep them black. most likely a Matte black. and another color later on.

Main reason why i want the red/ black. is cuz i wana do the truck in matte black with red scallops. or red stubby flames

Posted: Thu Oct 01, 2009 3:57 am
by hybrid-Srt2001
i vote satin black with some nice pin striping designs. no flames or scallops.

Posted: Fri Oct 02, 2009 3:22 am
by jetas
Wel the black ima just rattle can it. and the designs are guna be the same shit. the scallops wouldnt be all color just an outline, same wit the flames.

Still up in the air bout it. I still got body work to do so shit wont be happening for a while.

Im thinking about talking to my neighbor bout some airbrushing.

So today i went to wackos and decided that while he was welding up his 3rd link and tabs that id start relocating all my shit so i could cut my tubs.

I had to start by relocating the fuse box, vaccum lines, and 2 harnesses.

I had to split up the vaccums in 2 different spots

Heres 1, I hooked the vaccum bracket to the Cold Start Injector bracket
Image

and the 2nd one on the firewall

After i moved the harnesses

And the fusebox
