cool, nothing wrong with that setup, I'd just wan't a 4 link for piece of mind knowing that the rear end won't be moving around at all, but I guess it really won't with that setup anyway. I can't wait to see more! I want a bagged truck sooo bad.
The 3rd link is guna be a wishbone = triangulated so the rear WONT be moving around.

Yeah, I understand how this works very well. I'm not arguing his setup won't be solid, I was just curious.

Haven't laid out how the wish bone will placed yet. Been waiting on the metal supply yard to get in some 1 1/4" x 1/4" thick D.O.M. so we can start mocking it up. Since we are building a fuel cell for it, im positive it will be centered. If we kept the tank in the stock position then we would offset it.

The stock tank sits too low & that's why we are making a cell. We could raise it enough so I could lay frame. Since we are taking the truck down to the rocker, we will run out of room to keep the tank under the cab.

tonight we cut off all the brackets on the axle. Then we cut off the shock mounts & 4-link brackets on the frame. now we just need to grind the axle smooth. my boy Robbo took care of filling in some gaps where the new frame & old frame met. the 2x4 isn't quite the same width as the stock frame. Now we just need to plate the seams for a stronger hold

well tonight my boy Potter made 2 of the link bars. he first setup a simple jig to make them both the same length. then me & him tagged teamed grinding the axle. Tomorrow he will make the Wishbone link & i will finish up grinding the axle. then we can rehang the axle & start welding in the link bars

the notch will be exsposed in the bed. we will be doing some type of bad ass looking bridge out of 1 1/4" pipe. Obviously there will be new tubs welded into the bed. Then we plan to sheetmetal the sides of the bed & the tailgate for a smooth look. Then i will be installing a wood flooring like in old school pick ups. I'm gonna stain the wood myself because i want a deep dark finish

Damn this thing sounds like it's going to be a beast. ETA when it will be "done"? Also, will you be shaving the handles while you're at it?

We are setting the truck up for 26s. That way if I get jungle fever I can upgrade, but in all honesty, 24s are big enough for me.

Truck should be done in about a month to a month & a half. Im actually shaving the tailgate handle & emblem while im typing this message. I won't be shaving the rest of the truck until after the neon is finished.
