You know what would look really amazing? Black chrome, there's a company that does it and I can't think of the name of it right now. I know Transwheel by me did it. It's the most highly reflective black you've ever seen....I'm going to have to see if I can find anything on it. It's not cheap....by any means but it's badass looking.
i know what u r thinking of crystal.... i have also thought of that to... there honestly is not much i have not thought about color wise... black chrome would be bad ass... then all my steel braided lines and fuel rail would pop even more..... but i dont know if i want have that much black on my car.. i am not into the whole all black cars that much....... hmmm

LOL... oh well, i am still pulling the head and the guy at the machine shop is going to be gone for all of next week.... so i may not send it to have it checked... i never had a problem, so i dont know... it was just cheap insurence....
and i have not got any tracking info on my head studs so i am not sure when i will see them.... but i am in no hurry i have another wheel to paint if i like how this one turns out... plus i have to get that bolt out of my rear lateral bars... may work on that tonight while paint is drying.

Don't waste your time with 'chrome' powdercoat. The finished product comes out looking pretty much like silver. If you want shiny, you are going to want to go the polished route or have it chrome plated.dtjackten wrote:still contomplating between silver and chrome powdercoat...
Before I had the gold scheme in my bay, it was chrome powdercoat. There are pictures floating around on here somewhere. But, it looked like silver for all intents and purposes.
Just wanted to give you a heads up since you are still deciding on a route.

alright thanks for the heads up... i am still not sure what to do... it would be a complete pita to polish the vc, but the intake is already polished (just need some touchup work) the thing that sucks about polishing it is the maintance of having to keep it looking nice.... so maybe silver powdercoat will work more in my favor....

If you need part polished and cleared, I have the 3 out of 4 things to be able to clear polished aluminum.
Lmk, if you want to go that route. I can provide plenty of info and since I am not redoing my wheels any more.

wheel looks good, and definitely dont go with chrome powdercoat. buddy of mine has his rotors done and he got these weird waterspots from hell that wont come off.
