Even if it was an auto ecu, it would rev to 7200, but it would have a cel for the torque convertor lockup.

Oh so it's not like the 2nd gen 4500 rev limit. And no cel so all good for now.

My car revs to 7500 with the stock DOHC mtx ecm and the tranny switched to a 3.55 form the 3.94, it would rev to 7200 before the change.

Electronically there is no difference between 3.94 and 3.55, nor is there a difference in the shell. Only difference is the gears inside. So that is quite strange..

Also the car is doing 50 at 4k in 3rd. Calculator says 3.94 should be at like 3750 for 3.94 and 3400 for 3.55, so that means I def have 3.94's.

Yeah I'm well aware of all that , there not really any electronics other then reverse light switch and VSS, that's just what happened,

EDIT: I'm an idiot , I was think the redline started at the 6.5, not 7.0. Car redlines right around 7200, third gear chirp though, car likes this 2'C temperatures. Car used to redline at 6800 with the 3.94 tranny

Oil light is retarded on 1st gen again.

When you first turn the key on for the first time before you have started the car for a while, the oil light comes on like it should cuz of no pressure. Start the car and it goes away like it should. If you run the car for more then a minute and shut it off, turn the key back on, the light doesn't show up. If you let it sit with the key on(not running) for about a minute the light will eventually show up.

Someone said it still has pressure built up, but everytime I do the same thing with the 2gn the light comes right on...

OK. If you run the car, shut it off and turn it back on immediately, the light shouldn't turn on since it still has pressure.

If you run it, shut it off and wait a minute before turning it back on, the light should come on, since the pressure has drained.

If you turn it off and crack the ignition again, yes the light will turn on after a minute while the pressure drops.

All sounds completely normal. If the light doesn't shut off within 5-10 seconds of turning the car on, I'd start worrying.

As soon as the car starts the light goes off. It's just weird that the light doesn't came back on after shutting off and turning key on because my orange car does. But oh well, it's running and the light isn't on while running. Plus I'm looking into an oil pressure gauge.

I wish it was a full alignment rack, but sadly it's only a frame machine lol.
Talk about a bitch to get up there. Lowered + Lip Kit = Drag. Had to built myself like steps with wood to make it up without ripping the lip off. Then once I got up, and leveled the machine off I put the ebrake down on accident and it started drifting. That's why that piece of wood is wedged under the front tire. Not taking a chance in it falling off.

And Big Red at work.

That's actually what I meant, it looks like a Chief, not sure why I said alignment...I'll have to edit that. Mine is on jackstands with the ebrake off, don't want it seizing on me.

I think it's a Kansas, can't remember. And in my situation I'd much rather have the Ebrake sieze then it roll off and smack the floor. It'll total it for a second time lol.

Why is it rolling though? If it's on stands it can't roll. That machine should have the pinch weld stands, no?

Yes I have them somewhere, they aren't attached to the machine. They are seperate and you can put them on. Have those and some other ones somewhere underneath it.
When I worked with my dad they have airbags that you sat under the car and they blew up and jacked the car way up in seconds. Were like a grand for each one or something. Insane.

The car is just sitting up there, not on stands at all. I'm afraid the 1gn is going to break down on me before school or work in the morning and I'm going to need to hurry up and get it off.

Well it's been run pretty hard so far, and doesn't have a miss or anything once it's warmed up. I've put close to 500 miles on here already. It hates the cold though. If you try to pull out when you first start it it usually just shuts off lol.

Still has some vac problems somehere cuz it is idleing at around 1100, but thats good cuz when it idles at 600 with the solid mounts it vibrates like a mofo.

I think I'm gonna order a pillar pod tonight. For the oil pressure sender. Should I replace factory, or use the filter sandwich adapter thing?

Pod for which car?

If it's for the 1gn, get the frog eye pod. I think Neongoodies makes them or something.

If it's for the 2gn, get a dual guage pod up the side

1gn. Frog Eye? You mean the one that goes around the cluster?

I was thinking about that, but it's 30 from glowshift, and the pillar one is only 15.

Yes the one around the cluster, it's so tit's on 1gn's. If they made them for 2gn's, I'd so buy one.

Neongoodie's to make them for both, but they are discontinued.

It looks like it would block the little side gauges though.

Go throw some 1gn logs on neons.org, they have a few cars with them installed.
