Ya ive been meaning to do it but Ive been hearing two diff things. Some people say if you just remove chain you dont plug the hole and others say you have to no matter what

Well 12 hours of work later I now have a 08 PT Turbo motor with 27k miles on it. This time I was smart and did away with the balance chain so it dont have the same prob later on.

Took a pic once I got back from washing off the coolant i spilled ever where lol

hey great progress... ive always liked your car.. but on your fuel pump rewire.. do you not trust the ebay kit?? and also when you removed your balance shafts did you notice alot more vibration??? i know i did when i took them out on my 2.4 swap on my old 96 neon

I didnt buy the kit because i had everything but the relay sitting around and I only like the ptp kit, they r $99. I like to do things myself to save a buck. I also noticed lil more vib but nothin bad

post how hard it is.. i have the same plans for my swap car just havent got around to doing it.... you still going to be using the neon rack?? are you just going to change the tie rod ends?

The rack I have in there now is an SRT. I just have to swap over the spindles and the brakes. Im trying to get SS lines from a member here. So far the swap is costing me $160 not including the hoses and Dot 4 brake flush

SS brake hoes are on there way. This weekend I hope to finish my fuel pump rewire and include a how-to on here.

How much of a difference have you found from the old brakes to the SRT?

Havent really had time to tell yet. Its been raining here like crazy. I basically just did it because it was the last upgrade/swap to SRT other then exterior that Im gonna do. I basically wanted a SRT without the flashy kit.
