As most of you know I own a 2002 Neon ACR Base

Its got basic bolt ons however I have ignored it for the last 2 years since I purchased my Neon SRT4

Here it is when I first got it.

Image
here it is when i first got it. bought it for 5400 with 10k miles on it.

then i put some 17x7 RSL wheels on it(ebay special)

Image

then I cracked one of the wheels and bent one really bad on my way back from mexico

Image
this was the car in its prime, no body dmg or anything i picked up some damaged srt wheels for like 100$ and had them powder coated graphite and it was the hotness (still have the wheels, one was curb checked badly while i was in iraq and left the car at my parents house)

when i got home from iraq i picked up a srt and here they are together
Image

Image

here is what it looks like now, i put my stock wheels off my srt on it.

here are my two eye sores
Image my 17 nephew hit a guard rail doing a u turn at like 5mph.. I almost killed him

the day the wheel was curb checked this also happened by that damn curb
Image

well that's the story

So here are my plans with this little guy

Slamming it on some Coils
ACR BBS wheels
ACR SRT Seats
Detail inside and out
see what I can do about the body work.
Some weight Redux(nothing too wild)

and a few other things.. basically I'm going to make this my N/A beast.

Stay tuned.. this is my first log after owning 3 neons.

Looks like a pretty good plan for the ACR. You should add some RT side skirts as well.

 :beatstick:

I really wanted to add the skirts to mine, but then you are going against the ACR theme. Less is more. Having no side skirts, side moldings, or fog lamps is some of what makes our cars special (visually anyway). But hey, it's your car.

Glad to see the car getting some love though

let a family member borrow the car.. story is kind of unclear but what i know is that they jumped a curb at 45 busted up the driver front area, and hit some sort of power box with the left rear door/rocker panel.

(front wheel)

kind of glad i hadn't put my bbs wheels on yet.

I really don't know what I'm going to do yet.. i know insurance will total it out, I might just do a part out but its a shame that such a rare car will die....

I'm still in shock to be honest about the whole thing.

part-out.

this is why you should never loan your car, to anyone man. i thought you woulda known :(

i will mourn for you, only because...
1. it wasnt your fault[except for loaning the car]
2. and most important, its the death of a rare car
