and the gf said i cant get a srt-4, if i cant learn to not get tickets in my non turbo car , i cant get something like a srt-4 bc ill lose my license

.... she even went as far as saying that she is going to take my neon away from me and get me something i cant speed in. ( she blames it on being a 5 speed) bc i only get pulled over and tickets in mtx cars, i have never had a ticket in a atx
once you have a fast car you tend to not drive as fast (or at least thats how it was for me) once i got my turbo 1gn i slowed down alot. i know that car is fast, i know it will get me into trouble, or that i will kill myself. i used to get tickets all the time in my 02 R/T for speeding and being an ass, it was slow and i always felt the need to rip it EVERYWHERE! now i just keep the speeding for the track, you cant beat it. Having a clean driving record is a nice thing, ive been turned down jobs and a college because of my record. Just try and slow down and take it easy.

still need, lowering, tires, rear lip, tint windows, rear disc brakes, then i can start with the interior
edit: ok went and got 4 more cans of primer and only used 1 1/4 of a can, still need to prime the front bumper, get a new driver door, and the hood, when ever i get that. so the whole back end both front fenders and rear driver door and all the pass side is ready to be wet sanded with 600 then 800 grit then i should be ready for paint, i think!

the door is at my dads, just have to go get it, and the hood i dont think has been shipped yet so ill end up leaving the hood that is on right now, and yes in the yard, i do no have a garage or access to a garage i can work in at the moment.
all work that has been done to this car has been done out in the yard or in the driveway. other then the front bumper ( that i did inside in my computer room)

spray paint primer is the worst paint to use it absorbs moisture you need to get automotive grade primer on there if you want regular paint to stick to it

well irregardless of spray paint primer or whatever other "constructive criticism" may be offered, I have to salute you for having the motivation and balls to take on this project.

Irregardless is considered nonstandard because of the two negative elements ir- and -less. It was probably formed on the analogy of such words as irrespective, irrelevant, and irreparable. Those who use it, including on occasion educated speakers, may do so from a desire to add emphasis. Irregardless first appeared in the early 20th century and was perhaps popularized by its use in a comic radio program of the 1930s.

neither im mixing it and using a sprayer, the gfs dads got a spray gun (3 diff ones) and a compressor
update: got the spare driver door, hoping to have a nice day out tomorrow again, and ill work on prepping the door and installing the mirror and other things that it is missing! then taking the front lights out and getting the bumper ready for paint, then maybe working on the front grill
update: just picked up a mag VC and mag exhaust manifold from BRR .
what ya think, im painting the car white what color should i go with for the vc? leave it red or repaint it? and what should i put on the mag header? wrap or just repaint it with high temp paint? i found some stuff good for up to 2000 degrees

Totally one of my pet peeves, but I wasn't going to point it out. Luckily, you did it for me

lol.. even though i said this was gonna be on hold, i guess i lied, i was wet sanding today , how long does it normally take? bc i spend and hr or so with 600 grit on the trunk lid alone, and am i suppose to keep going until its like smooth to the touch? bc right now with just 600 grit its smooth like if it was new paint?
not sure how much i will be able to work on this car bc of the new job, at least until i know my schedule . and once the pay checks start coming in from the new job, im going to be looking into getting
rear disc swap ( might be sooner then next week though)
RT head
RT IM or AMM IM
comp 400
new tires
new clutch
booger bushings

priming, blocking and sanding can easily take a hundred hours to get a really good smooth finish, IIRC.

Yep. I think people REALLY underestimate the amount of time it takes just to look
okay.
How much time did you put into that front bumper, Chris? Whatever you put into it, multiply it by ten to finish it. Then multiply THAT by 50 to say how much the car will need.

I'd say you've got plenty of time before it is ready for paint, haha.
