Yeah, I bet it's going to handle like poop haha. I'm thinking 17x9's would be better. 18's are just too big really.

Yeah, they'd be better than 18's fore sure...but you are so low with your coils.....16's are the way to stay and still fit good tire on there. IMO, 17's are great if you're lowered on springs and still have decent wheel gap. 16's, performance tires and coiloverss are the ticket for the best combination of handling and looks.

Yikes, 18's are too big. With that massive overall tire height, it looks pretty goofy on the Neon IMO. Might look better with thinner tires. Maybe.

Did I mention that big wheels are HEAVY?

 :)

I love my 18x8 rims and they handle well w/ the g-force tir, but the thin tire has me cringing on some decent bumps LOL....it more for the show look......once I get the turbo in I plan on having more rubber for tires when i hit like a track or I know Im gonna have some fun with the car.

HellaNO. Those look awful, 18s are too big for neons. They just look goofy because of the super thin tires you have to run to achieve the look you want.

They were, but since I wasn't "stancing" my car out I could run a decent sized tire on them and not a stretched rubber band to fit wheels that were too wide to be on the car in the first place. Hence why I said the bolded statement.

Clearly I did. Clearly I downsized. Clearly I realized this. But this thread isn't about my car, it's about those wheels looking silly compared to the Works looking perfect on Anthony's car.

So back to the topic at hand.

haha, the neon wasn't blown...i just let it rest for a while...i drove it to work and back everyday, right up until i parked it... it just ran rough like i said.

i think my civic has taught my a few things.

the rough idle i had, may be a broken torque strut and/or tranny mount.

the random spontaneous overheating could be a leak or maybe just need a coolant flush.

im going to try to start it this week. see what happens.

if it runs im buying 25mm bolt on spacers for the silverstones....

For anyone that's curious, I'm not going to get the BBS'. I'm going to rock the Works probably through spring, and try and find some 17x8.5 or 17x9 of:

Volk TE-37's or CE28N's
Work Meister S1's (3 piece version) or VS-XX's
BBS CH's

18"s are just too big or I would have got em.

the wheels are nice.. the sizing not so much.. i think like you said 17" bbs ch's would be dead nuts.. they are beautiful wheels and the right sizing for your car being stanced like it is.

I'll be the first to say this....

DO NOT get ce28Ns because then not only will my wheels not be unique on here, but they'll be legitimate reps since you will have the real deal

I wasn't feeling those CHs anyway, neither size nor style but I like your other options! But I say VS-XX all the way as they are smoldering hot and purplestuff has the other ones.
