Mine has a harness that stays connected to the battery terminals with o-ring connectors. It's hidden when the car isn't on the charger and easily accessible when I need it to be. It caps so it will never ground out against anything, it's by Snap-on. I love the little thing to death. Treats me right :)

So what wheels are you going with now?

Just noticed this thread. Wow, your car is fantastic! :wav:

Off-topic but are you going to do custom shoots at Carlisle 2011? I'm still kicking myself for not taking advantage of your photograpic skills this year. :banghead:

Thanks a lot guys.

Crystal - No new wheels unless I find an insane deal. I was gonna get Miro STP-1's but I found out that they are replica's of Chevlon Racing Mesh's and I'm not rocking rep wheels. So I'm gonna chill with what I have. Don't wanna go to crazy, would rather spend the money on moving out.

Gramps yes I will be. See you then. :-D

And the Perrin radiator shroud I got from Crystal, who got it before it went discontinued. The product has been discontinued for about 1-2 years now, so check all the for sale boards you can think of often.

Some details on the relocation. I got the battery and kit from Summit Racing. For some reason I can not locate the kit I got..

Optima Red Top (either 34 or 35 series, will check tomorrow)
16 foot 1 gauge Positive Wire
6 foot 1 gauge Negative Wire
Brushed Aluminum Tray
Black Tie Down
Clamps/ends/wrap/etc
Raptor Terminal Block

Drilled through the spare tire well, the negative is ground to the chassis underneath. The positive runs over the LCA's, next to the tension rod, down the left pinch weld, and up.

Yes I know the bay is messy. Haven't gotten a chance to clean up yet, or get the battery delete tray in. Also when that goes in, I get the boost controller, and vacuum block in. :)

Battery... is AMAZING. That piece of shit EnergyStar or whatever it's called battery I had in there was definitely what was holding my car back. The car starts so much easier now, headlights and foglights are much brighter, the idle is smoother...

The intake and compressor wheel are also much louder now with the battery gone.. not to mention the 25 pounds gone from the front, and the 30 new pounds to the back is a huge plus.

Battery is a beast too.. highly recommend. Had the bass crankin, headlights on, fog lights on and no sign of weak electrical power. This mod definitely got me back in the modding mood, loving the car again..

That tray is great! Do me a favor though. Fuse it right at the battery. All it takes is a little tiny place to get worn away on the insulation and you don't have a car anymore.

Yeah it's metal, but it's actually a lot further from the terminals than it looks.

nice work anthony, i like the kit u got for sure! i am not sure if i like were it is mounted or not though.... hmmm

i agree with erick though, a inline fuse at the battery is a great idea and i would recomend it, all the money that u have in ur car it would suck for something to happen for a 20 dollar fuse holder.... just my .02

Anthony, I have a circuit breaker right next to my battery:
Image
I don't remember if I got a 150amp or a 200amp breaker but it's great. It also works as a quick battery disconnect if doing any repairs that require the battery to be disconnected. It also saved my car when I had a rub through on my positive lead to the engine compartment years ago, the lead shorted to ground and the breaker popped preventing any fires....
Relocation looks good otherwise

I like that idea Chris. Is that made by Stinger?

It would be smart to fuse or install a circuit breaker close to the battery. Should a cable ground out up front say, you would still have power feeding into the cable from the battery side. It is very possible for a fire to start that way.

I have my alt and starter fused up front, but if something were to happen to the cable between the batt and the engine compartment, only a fuse or circuit breaker will save my poor car.
