I hate to bust your balls, but those lines are DISTINCT AS HELL.
The blue maybe the same, but there seems to be horrid overspray.
Not good

Of course it's distinct, he hasn't buffed or wetsanded yet. That's where the blend will come from and it shouldn't be TOO noticeable afterwards...

I never said I was a painter. I was just saying that it was a distinct line.
And if your mad for some reason about the lines, then don't post them unfinished I guess, I mean the paint is very close and good there, but you can straight up see the lines dude.
I mean you said it's a work in progress, I understand that to the fullest, just don't get butthurt about it when someone tells you this on an UNFINISHED project. I'm sure it will turn out great.

If you blended that spot with the paint and cleared the whole fender, you wouldn't have a line in it. To be truthfull sanding the spot will make it worse, you'll end up going through the clear on the edge of it and a couple months down the road you'll see the remaining clear slowly and slowly become cloudy and peeling along the spot. The only real way to fix that fender is to have it blended and have the whole fender recleared.
Also, after you primed that spot, did you remove the tape to sand the primer smooth and flush to the rest of the fender? Or did you just paint over the unsanded primer?
I'm not trying to criticize your work but it could've been done better

To the untrained naked eye you wouldn't be able to tell there was even a line theremm but you did do a good job afterall..I'm sure with some buffing and sanding that it should look a little. Better.

we sanded down the primer flush and tried to get the edges as smooth as possible..idk if sanding it will make it any better i just wanted to make it better then the rust until i had enough money to have someone repaint the whole fender. and i did it with spray paint so i wasent expecting it to come out perfect

I decided to do this to protect my car from rust and wait until i get enough money to have it done professinally. so here are the pics
Some people don't read.
Great job man, looks 10X better than what it did.
Definately paint that mesh, it does stick out like a sore thumb.
Maybe colormatch the foglight bezels?
Posted: Thu Dec 31, 2009 4:28 pm
by moparmadd077
yeah i thought about it painting the fog bezels but they kinda match my black and blue theme haha
heres a pic of the rest of the car that i fixed already and why my fender was damaged as you can see it was alot worse the the pic above..i had bent it back and hammered it back to kinda the right shape.
