Thanks. I kind of had to do the big jump in grit due to not being able to find any in between. Middle-of-Nowhere for the lose.MyNeonSaysHi wrote:Damn those wheels came out superb. So you honestly went from 400 grit to 1500 in the prepping? I am so happy you didn't go with black. Makes me want to paint my winter wheels that color.
Honestly, I was standing in the store for ten minutes wondering if I should go with white, but I figured I just wouldn't be able to pull it off. I'm completely happy with how they came out and glad I stuck with silver.
July 7th, 2010 - Sway bar fun
One more update before Carlisle this weekend!
Alrighty, got my RS4 rear sway bar in today FINALLY after 3 weeks of waiting.
After fighting the flies, the heat, the dirt driveway, the mosquitoes, the tight area behind the wheels, the wrong sockets, and one stupid broken bolt, I was able to finally get it on.
Now to the pictures:
The package it came in. Part of the box was ripped open which didn't make me happy.
After I got the stock sway bar out. The stock bar is a wimpy 16mm, while the RS4 bar is a beefy 22mm. A large increase, I know, but, from what I hear, it's an amazing upgrade.
And this is what the car looked like. Only thing I really had to do was drop the rear exhaust hangers and unbolt the bar.
Never really got a chance to try it out yet. By the time I finished - the sun was down and I was being devoured by mosquitoes. Hopefully tomorrow I'll get a chance to use it.

Aug 17th: So I got this box...
And it came with this weird wrench...
And then there were some pieces of junk in the bottom of the box...
Front: 65mm
Rear: 50mm
I picked them up new for $600! They're not 'the best' coilover setup, but I'm not looking for an insane drop anyways. Hoping to get them installed soon. What'cha think?

^Cyrus. Cirrus is that Chrysler cloud car. -It never walks around without underwear on, but is then too young to be posted on the internet- though
Jeff, you're cheating. That's clearly a sloped entrance to the garage! tease status ftl.
