Yup. Decided to start my project log for this car. Can't say I'm gonna have too many things in the works right now with me being unemployed and all, but I hope to have something going soon.
Here's some pictures for reference:
THE PLAN:
My plans so far are broken down into two categories:
Things I need to do:
-Brake job
-New passenger xenon headlamp
-Fix my cat. bank 2 O2 sensor (or foul it)
-Repair rims
Things I want to do:
-Get coilovers
-Tint windows
-Get 'Ultrasport' lower grille valance
-Repair front bumper damage
-Black out headlamps
-Little decklid lip spoiler
-Magnaflow 2.25" exhaust
I have to get the headlamp fixed soon because, even though ONE of my headlights is probably brighter than my Neon's high beams ever were, I still need to get it fixed. They're super freakin' expensive though at $109 each! So I'll have to scrounge up money somewhere.
The brakes are also a must. I noticed when I bought the car that the brakes were a little strange, but I couldn't tell why - Now I know it's because they are SHOT. It'll take some time to get all the parts for this though because all the parts cost an arm and two legs plus a cheeseburger.
Soooo yeah. Hope to update this soon with awesomeness. [/url]

If it's just the D2S bulb, you can get them cheap here:

Thanks Crystal, but I believe they're actually the D1S style:LilSparkPlug wrote:If it's just the D2S bulb, you can get them cheap here:

I'm gonna guess I need that giant ballast thing attached to it also? Please tell me I'm wrong.
Everywhere I'm checking has them for around the same price. ECS-Tuning has them for $80 so I might get them from there.

I was waiting for someone to mention this!Tam wrote:I wanna see it slammed. I don't think you need new rims though, the stock ones look good as it is.
I get really, really, really, really, really, really, bored with my free time so, like some of you, I photochop my car.
I think my 17's are fine - and I'll probably keep them. I keep on going back and forth with slamming or creating the perfect tire/wheel-well combo with 19's.
Here's what I dream of when I think of slamming my car to the ground though (of course I would need to roll the fenders, get smaller sidewalls, add camber, blah blah blah):
NOT REAL! ONLY IMAGINARY!
I started messing around with the camera and editing software more, right before I sold the neon. So yeah, that progress log looks old school.Tam wrote:Did your camera skills, like, drastically improved since you sold the neon or something?Your neon's log had nothing but amateur photo skills. lol
The one thing I HAVE to do with these rims over the winter is repair them. The last owner must have loved to grind curbs because they are absolutely beat to shiatzu. I'll probably be keeping them after that.

In our November R.I. meet thread, Blair said that my car was a washing machine, so after that it kinda stuck and the washing machine ended up in the photo. Did I say I get really, really bored?LilSparkPlug wrote:WTF with the washing machine in the initial post I just noticed that? LOL
BTW Don't suppose you looked to the left of the car either...

Damn! I used to draw everything out until I got lazy and just went straight to chopping. It definately helps. I'm actually working on a pretty lengthy chop right now that I want my car to look like. I'll put it up here when I think I've perfected it.LilSparkPlug wrote:When it came time to paint my car, I DREW an SRT and went from there. Yeah...lol

Mine is juuuust starting to give me a taste of the pain my wallet is about to go through. Luckily, my dad also owns an A6 with the same engine so I've gotten to see exactly what goes wrong and when. You should put your log up. Audi and VW owners will slowly take over 2gn!blue demon02 wrote:Good to see another audi driver on here. Guess i should make a project log for mine. It has been one hell of a money pit sense i got it.

It's part of the 'UltraSport' package that Audi has for the A4. Gives it a little bit more of an aggressive look and I think it flows a little better with a slammed car than my stock valance.Tam wrote:Looks like you're getting some sort of lip kit for the Audi. Or maybe fabbing it?
I have no clue, but it's definately not as cool as hanging out with 2gn.Tam wrote:Don't they have an Audi equivalent of Carlisle event each year?
