I did the swap this past weekend. Just got it running today, i didnt get to drive it since i dont have dual fans yet, but i started it and got two codes. The first one is p0508 and p0038. Has to do with IAC and high 02 sensor heater voltage. Im going to try to clean the iac and i used the 02 sensor from my sxt, i thought they were the same?

Okay well i had two wires in the pcm connector wired backwards which was giving me the two codes. I still have the p0508 code, i think i might have fried my pcm or the iac motor itself. So it has trouble idling but other than that she is running great! My parking lights still dont work, but all my other lights do, i didnt really look into it much though. Heres some more pics.

It was kind of an impulsive decision but i picked it so i would be able to see if there was any leaks right away. Plus kawasaki green is one of my favorite colors haha :)

More power but adds a lil vibration... No fuss about that though.. You'll get bout the same vibration when swapped motor mounts..

I tried to get some pics today but it happen. But anyways the roads were good today i got to do a few highway pulls. Im spiking 14 and holding 12 to 13, does that sound about right for being stock??

Overall im really happy with the swap, Im code free and havent had any major problems. Ive put around 1500 miles on it so far and shes running strong.

Future plans are:

Install wideband that i got for christmas
Front and rear sway bars(maybe progress?)
3" o2 housing
3" downpipe with cutout
DSP

effin clean swap, especially for one done on an obvious budget!

by 2005sxt24
it was done on quite a budget under 3k including the donor car  , and a time period haha but i would definately do it again. If anybody is thinking about doing this swap i would recommend it as long as you have all the parts. I get to save a ton on insurance

do you have any problems registering the car like that in PA? I'm curious because I plan on swapping.

no because i still use my sxt vin. As far as getting an emission sticker im not sure yet. I have to inspect it in may but i dont think i will have any issues passing.
