It's all custom, it's a Garrett A/R 60, I bought it used at a good price, I'm currently buying a new one though, and it should be here by the end of this week >:) Surprise

LilSparkPlug:
Thank you, I'm thinkin it too, I always wanted gold, but never found too many 'mesh' wheels that were and didn't break the bank.

Oh a side note, I found that I'm a idiot and don't need to re-polish the lips because they are already in satisfactory condition since I've maintained these wheels, so I'm just wasting my time on the sanding lol. But after this wheel is done than I won't be resanding for polish on the lips.

Front and rear lip kit, I have to go to the dealer to pickup my PBJ spray can, and wandering if I should order it, I'd much rather have the skirts but as we all know, those are long gone :'(

Yup, here you are!
Sorry it's dark once again, it's freezing outside, -1 and I don't want to open that garage door lol

As you can see, she's being ripped apart, hence no feed line, and intake since the new turbo is on it's way. Don't worry she isn't daily driven lol. My F150 is in the garage next to Blueberry

Here's the mockup of the new intercooler piping, the old way was terrible with my lowering, it would scrape on every speed bump and. I got this idea from n20sxt. So the whole turbo will be switched from the way you see it now

Well I got 1 wheel done. And others in progress.

I rolled the car outside so you can see it better, I love how light it is to roll

I hate how skinny these tires are, they are good tires but too skinny

And yes I know I'm missing a lugnut, I found it though

Where'd you get those rims and how much they run? I'm thinking about picking up a set...in a few years

Swordfish2Cowboy: Maybe ;)

BlackRoseRacing: Thanks!

Adionik: I got them from DiscountTireDirect, not sure if they are still selling them, but they were only $110 a piece!

On a side note, I got 1 more wheel done, 1 side view mirror color matched and tinted and clear coated the tails!

How does that accordion tube not balloon under boost? Why not have hard pipes and atleast get rid of the that plastic intake mani

Posted: Tue Dec 08, 2009 9:46 pm
by He Hate Me
That bellows tube is damn strong, and it doesn't ballon, it just elongates. I've got rid of it before for a hard pipe than put the bellows tube back. There's no support when using a hard pipe and it puts a lot of weight on it, and during boost it came off.

And all the piping I have is hard piped, that red is just a 90degree coupler that goes to the bov piping, and than a 90 degree coupler.

Yes, getting a different intake mani is definetly on the list of what to get.

Thanks much!

n20sxt:
When I saw your way it was genius! The way I had it sucked, you should see the piping I had, it is now scratched to heck and bent from rubbing on the roads (speedbumps and parking lots). Plus the way you did it had much less bends. I needed a new turbo and when I saw the way you did I figured I'd give it a try.

Yeah i had the same problem! well after taking a good look at my town roads, i figured the typical piping route would be destroyed in maybe a month tops haha. What size piping are you using? i had a little clearance issue going over the motor mount but nothing that big (im using 2 1/4")

You should post pics of the before piping :D

oh and car looks great

Thanks bro, always loved your clean OB!

n20sxt:
Thanks! Your car came along great! I'm using 2.5" piping, I'm rubbing a little on the hood, so I'm going to have to trim a little of the support on the hood, but it'll be worth it. And I'll be sure to get you a pic of the old piping when I get out of class.

Tam:
Us Blue's gotta stick together Tam, haha. Your car has a lot of the stuff I want to do to mine! I LOVE your 02 bumper with lip, I've been debating on doing that. I got projectors on the way, and hopefully some side skirts, just gotta see if they are in stock, should here back on that shortly, I pray they are. And your Mopar rear lip is exactly what I want to do with mine, how you blacked out the middle, except gotta make some special holes for the SRT rear section. Last thing, I want a OEM CF hood like you.
