My first thought was either for the tranny or the TIP sensor. Solenoids, if he has the OEM ones, are black clips.

Thats correct. no Carlisle for me this year. :-(

LilSparkPlug wrote:Why didn't you mount it in the passenger side well? Less hose runnage, no? Much better than before though that's for sure. Did you remove the FP sending unit? And what is the tan plug hanging on the driver's fender apron that's not plugged into anything?
Because i had no room there. My washer bottle takes up most of that space there. The tan plug is the TIP sensor one. im pretty sure thats what its called, yes i throw a code for it but no more codes on the solenoids ones as i hooked the solenoids onto the connectors and just hid the solenoids.

You definitely need a TIP sensor or you're going to throw a MAP/TIP correlation code.

You can usually find them used on SRTForums for around $15 or so. There's no difference in the TIP sensors unless you have a 3 bar Stage 2/3 sensor (which you would need the corresponding S 2/3 map sensor and a rescale for it to work). You also need the red vacuum line hooked up to the cold side pipe for the TIP to work. It has two vacuum lines, a white one that attaches to the sensor and goes to the solenoid and a red one that goes to the cold side pipe.

Just make sure it's the stock one and NOT a three bar. Your car won't run right with a 3 bar.

Here you go: http://www.srtforums.com/forums/f416/fs ... rs-605796/

Engine bay looks great! I wonder if that radiator pipe idea works on the 2.0 L engines.

Tam- yes I'm sure you can make it work on your engine.

I wouldn't drive it without it. It's going to run horrible. They correlate the boost with each other. And if one of the lines isn't there all hell breaks loose similar to what the MPX TB does (POS that it is)

Well been finishing up on some things here & there. Car still isnt running 100% good im guessing due to TIP sensor not hooked in but im waiting on it to arrive. heres a test run video i did earlier.. recorded with my friends Phone ( EVO ). once everything is good then ill whip out the cam and recorded in HD setting. umm yes i know my hood is open in the vid but we kept oppening the good to make sure stuff wasnt coming unhooked and after i go up the street and stop u can hear the car stay in high revv for a sec. thats because i dont know. still trying to figure that out. may be cause of the not having my TIP sensor on yet. well see tomorrow. anyways heres the vid.

LET ME KNOW IF ANYONE HAS TROUBLE VIEWING THE VIDEO, I ADDED A GUEST PASS AND TESTED IT AND IT SHOULD WORK FINE FOR VIEWING.

yeah it sounds awesome in person even with my exhaust leak in the midpipe. bbahahahahaha.

on another note, just a few ago my friend came over in his srt so we took the TIP sensor off his and plugged it into mine, i had then finished fixing my other vac leak i had so we took it for a drive, well first 5 seconds gas light came on.. she drove better than earlier and pedal felt dam good. once we tried getting above 3k RPM she wouldnt boost but we could just shift normally at 2500 rpm and it would be fine.. then we tried swapping out the map sensor from his to mine thinking maybe mine had taken a shit.. still nothing, actually this time it stumbled upon take off so we was done for the night. umm anyone think that me be low on gas could cause this..? & my then it was throwing the P1187 code. blah.

Uh..... of course the gas would cause it to stumble... you should still be able to boost but who knows.

I know it'd stumble and run like shit... put some 93 octane in it.

You're getting almost all of the issues that you're explaining (and the car revving itself when you first pulled over to the curb) because of the lack of TIP sensor. Not only that but the vac line NEEDS to be run to the coldside pipe (red) and to the tip sensor (white) and then to the solenoid in order for the car to correlate the two correctly.

LowNslow- yes I use 93, ill go get some more today. Hopefully my sensor arrives today.

Crystal- yes I knew my problem was due to the no Tip sensor becaue when I plugged it in & upon startup the engine immidiately sounded better & pedal felt better as well.

Gramps- no worries as I was barely moving anyways..maybe 20mph and there's no stop sign going down as I was headed but where the truck was there is a stop sign.

When I get my sensor in today I'm gonna try something different.. like I think maybe I had the wastegate too far out & that's why no boost mode happened. Well see.

Do you have the vacuum lines hooked up and ready to go? Did you ever get a factory solenoid?
