Well as a few of you know, im getting married in august and we had a trip to Hawaii and the bahamas planned, but unfortunately they both fell through.. So we plan on going back to Myrtle Beach and then to Florida for some Sea World action. With this in mind, ill be driving the SRT4 yet again. So i figured, fuck that bumpy ass ride.. Im gonna throw the stock springs back in as well as some new top hats... My struts are still in good shape. If I had the available funds, i would get all new struts too, but I cant right now.

So things that are gonna happen in the next couple weeks:

-Install Stock SRT4 Springs
-4 top hats (or just replace the bad one depending on my funds)
-4 wheel alignment
-Oil Change
-Trans fluid change
-Replace the rubber coolant hose next to cam sensor
-New Plugs as well..

Also since I dont really drive the car as much anymore, im having thoughts of selling it after it gets painted.. they are just thoughts though.... Im at the point where I wont be upside down on my loan any more. I only owe about 6800 and it drops around $450 bucks every month..
How much would you want for the car? I got a buddy who's selling his Mustang and wants to get something else. He really wants an SRT-4, but all the douche baggers out here in Jacksonville (NC) are ALL about ripping Marines off. I don't even want to talk about how they got me, but if I wasn't such a noob 3 years ago... I still owe 6500 on mine.

I need to know the size of the oem coolant line (rubber portion) that runs from the turbo down to the side of the block located right next to the cam sensor. *see pic for location reference*

Mine is leaking a bit and I need to replace in the next few weeks before I leave for a long road trip. If anyone knows the size, that would help big time. Do you think i can find this at the dealer as well?

Thanx, Monty

The dealer line includes the metal portion as well IIRC. I bought all new lines for my s3 and that was one of them.

Update:

Well I raised the back end of the car. I didn't have time to do all 4. Who ever decide to give SRT4's a 6 foot ride height needs to be shot. Now i see why i lowered it in the 1st place. Oh well. no more clunking from the top hats and no more bounciness.. Lowering springs on stock struts for 50k miles and the struts are still good. Cant complain about that at all...

sorry about the cell phone Pics:

3M Windo Weld from Advanced Auto. I used this to fill the Rear top hats. Great investment..

Why did you get rid of the springs?...

The ride was really rough.. roads suck ass here.. They do construction and it seems like the roads are worse after theyre done.. Im gonig oa long trip down south again and I i need some sort of comfort back.. so going back to stock was the best and cheapest option..

I was actually going to say that myself, with your wheel and tire combination it does not look that bad...

Well then, that's where you part with the rest of us. Most of us here LOVE driving. I like swerving, accelerating, cruising, blipping the throttle....whatever. I just love being behind the wheel. I drive a LOT and the coils were full stiff and this knockoff setup I've got now is no softer. I'm sure stock rides better though, and that's what you needed.

To each their own, but then why not sell the performance car and buy a Corolla if you want a commuter car?

I just needed more comfort. So this was tfhe best route to take . I have my eye on another better car when this is paid off. I've done all my spirited driving and racing in the 5 1/2 years that I've owned it. The car has more than served its purpose.

If you think that's high up you should have seen my Caliber before I put the Pro-kit on it. Could almost fit a fist in the wheel wells. I see your point with wanting comfort, measy. Fortunately, my car got more comfortable after I lowered it since I wasn't bouncing around on every little bump and wasn't rolling quite a bit taking a little spirited turn. :)
