Issac, the lids look good but if you want to go all out you have to mold them into the hood. Has anyone done that on a 2nd gen yet? ;)

I know you could pull it off easy, it's not that hard and even easier if you have a steel hood.

Smiley: thanxs bro..

Sullivan: That would be coo bro.. Gotta plan a road trip up there..

Jason: I thought bout it but decided not too.. It'll be a pita to keep from cracking up cuz I have to put some force in shut the hood..

Yea 2 guys from overseas has done it and it look awesome.. Not for me though.. And doing it to a fiberglass hood would be eaiser for me..

You do have to be careful with them, if I ever do another set I am going to do them in glass. My metal base and filler is pretty durable but fiberglass would be tougher I would imagine.

Grr, just one more thing on the to-do list. :banghead:

Now I feel silly, I did not realize you had swapped that motor into that chassis.

Is that the engine that had iirc the bock painted blue a long time ago @ Matty's old house?

No Ban Dan.. Just been tired ass hell from the new job..

The spoon adapters will done by the end of the month along with some other stuff I started on.. I'm replaning the door panels cuz they are a lil too bulky.. The new design will be a pod design that houses my component setup (5 1/2).

I started on building the inserts for the side skirts and also starting building a set of kick panels.. I'm trying to knock both of them out by the end of this month..

I'm doing my damnest to get things ready for the Import Face Off show in Louisiana Oct 3rd. Don't have a lot to do but most of my energy is getting eating alive from the job..

I'll post some pics when I can.. My camera took a crap on me so I'm in the process getting another.. So every pic I post will be from my phone..

lol at the hair pick, and the lack of masks, that paint will kill you sooner rather than later, always wear a respirator guys...

and its a shame to see your job taking up all your time and energy, but I know how that is, I have been doing 20 hr days between my moms care and work, have to work 12 hr days all this week too, the only saving grace is I make almost 30 bucks an hr overtime, so the paychecks are nice

There was a show he (we) were trying to make the next day so we all pitched in and got it done. Was the first time I had helped paint a car so it was a lot of fun working late into the night.

Everyone made the show but on the way home IIRC the car tried to compress some water in a cylinder. :banghead:

Yup it was all fun til we left the show and my exposed air filter took a drink.. Worst week ever...

Long awaited updates:

Bought some stock fog lights and gave them a make over..

Side Skirt Inserts
The side skirts will be put back on this weekend so that I can test fit my design in them.. Not sure if I'll be using the front skins just yet..
I'm going make the inserts flow with the mopar rear lip so they'll look something very close to this..
Image
Hopefully I can work them in this weekend to start the finishing process..

Kick Panels
Have to redo the driver side mold (currenty done) and get the ring setup so I can fleece them both.. Ordered some black speaker carpet to cover them so they should be finished very very soon.. They'll be in as soon as the carpet gets in..

This weekend (Labor Day Weekend), I plan on knocking out all the body work I have to do.. Its not much and the weather is finally on my side..

Til then suckas..

Is the exhaust going to go thru the skirt or are you going to screen it or something?

And the fogs look sexy! :)

Thanxs Smiley..

Jason: I'm converting back to a center exhaust like when I had my Kaminari Kit.. I have 2 tips but not sure which to actually use. I have a dual tip that looks like the Jeep SRT-8 and a Porsche Boxter Oval Tip..

I'll post pics of them tomorrow..

And dude.. My phone pics don't do justice on the fogs.. You gotta see them in person..

Lil update..
Kick panels are ready fpr fleecing. I'm gonna add a lil part on the passenger side so it can be lil more rounded but they're ready.. I plan on knocking them out this weekend, the speaker carpet came in today so everything is good to go..

It wont happen, Teej. Ninety eight percent of this car is fiberglass, so it wont hold up through those tough Texas winters.
