oooo.... not a fan of that last part. single stripes make cars look taller than wide, especially with a nice wide kaminari hood scoop like that. Liked it before when the scoop was highlighted white.

Different, but throws off the eye a bit.

Yea I'll be sticking with the stockers from here on out...

Took the stuff off today but noticed it ate the inner cover and belt..

Stocker gears placed on.. Got bored on saturday and sprayed them..

Going hit up my homie tomorrow to order a new inner cover and buy a Gates belt from modern..

The process didn't get my spirits down too bad.. After all that I started playing with my next project..
Really rough...

 The one near the old gears is holding the motor and the other 3 or holding up the proto-lip...

Looks very bad in the pic but it was the only thing I could find to hold it up to take some shots..

Thanxs ma.. Glassing it of course, gotta get a sheet of birch plywood (probably 1/4 or 3/16) for the actually splitter and the pieces that'll attach to the bumper will be glassed..

Working on that and the hood sunday and will have the neon back running saturday...

Only shot for right now..
Image

Had fun... Installed the new crap, put everything to TDC to the tee, started the car and nothing.. Recheck liked 8 times.. Nothing..
Check/replaced the spark plugs, check to see if it was getting fuel and spark, cranked on him, nothing...

Had to call my homie Matt out to see what the problem was.. We checked for blow back, compression, checked to see if anything was in the chamber, played with timing again, and still nothing... Then we remember that we intsalled the 2.0 DOHC Cams and had to flip the exhaust cam magnet.... DUH!!!! Flip the exhaust timing gear over.... Checked the timing, cranked on it, and finally it started right up.. Pig rich as hell..

Going put it all back together Tuesday Morning to get him back on the road..
Oh how I missed my neon..

Yea I was happy as hell to hear him start up again.. I was like my baby is alive

Couple of shots I took...
Image

All thats left is to reinstall the alt and power steering belt and he'll ripping the streets back up...

Took a couple of shots of a sebring wheel mounted...
Image
Image
Those are going on the purple nurple.. Just wanted to check the fitment and see if they would clear the srt/pt calipers..
They fit like the r/ts so I'm gonna have to run spacers on them..

Took the funniest pic yesterday after playing with the car of my baby girl Brooklyn...
Image
She's already in to cars at almost 3 months old...

Gotta get a poster size pic of this to hang up in the house... She's just way too cute..
