It worked for the headlights and turn signals when we tried it.

Ryan, the foglights were coming on when you turn the lows on...the contacts inside the headlight stalk are bad, so I bought a new mfs from autozone...

Ohh ok. I thought you didn't have a fog stalk anyway? or do you..
PS.. how much was the mfs? my 00 need ones I think. The fog light light on the cluster will just randomly come on and off.

Quick Update:
First off, I'm posting from the carpc (i have a keyboard plugged into it for now so i can debug the software here instead of upstairs where I can't see whats going on)
I got both the Remote Starter and Shutdown/Turbo Timer functions working (not wired to car yet). The Fusion Brain (interfacing device) has LED status lights that tell you when an output is on, which means whatever is attached to it is also on. I watched these manually to make sure all of the timing is correct.
The Shutdown timer simply turns on the Ignition relay for a user selectable amount of time, then once that time is up, it turns off the relay, causing the car to shut down (unless the key is inserted and turned to run)
The Remote Start function was a little more complicated... First, the software checks to see if I have it enabled. This is performed EVERY TIME the CarPC is turned on. If enabled, it first turns on the ACC and Ignition outputs to turn those relays on (giving power to the required systems). Next, it waits 4 second so that the fuel pump can work up pressure. After this, it pulses the Starter for the select amount of time (i chose 2 seconds), and then activates the actual Remote Start timer. After the user selectable time, it turns off the ACC and Ignition relays, shutting the car off.
I will also have it lock the car doors, since the car will be running. This will happen sometime between turning on the ignition/acc and kicking the starter...
I'm now sitting here, wondering where I'm going to put my outside temperature sensor... I'm thinking about putting it through one of the grommets in the cowl where a sunroof should drain. It wouldn't be exposed to the elements very much, and will get plenty of fresh air while moving. My only concern is if it's going to end up picking up heat from the engine bay as well.....
Anyone got any better ideas for where I could locate this sensor without having to run it very far?
More to come...

I know my sister's Jeep Liberty has it mounted behind the grille, the ambient temp sensor on our cars is on the bottom on the core support, but you don't wanna run it far. I'm not sure how big it is but the cowl might not be a bad idea.

Yeah most of them are run in the front of the car, that may be your best bet to keep it away from the heat. Center tie bar maybe? Great progress so far.

it's small enough i could stick it in one of the slits in the cowl plastic.

That would work out too.

posting from the carpc...
today while talking on the phone with CAM about random stuff, I got the passenger rear knuckle drilled out to 1/2" to accept the new bolt for the adjustable control arms, and got the rear passenger corner back together for the most part...just have to tighten everything up and put the brakes back on and ebrake cable back in place.
I work at 4 so unfortunately i wont get much else done today.....but i have time still till carlisle... Cheri should be back on the road in the next few weeks I'de say...about damn time too...
i'll post pics later.

That's awesome, Matt. I can just imagine you sitting Indian style (I don't care if that's not politically correct...) on the floor of the car playing with your PC
Glad you got that knuckle drilled out man. One step closer to this car actually being drivable.

thanks nathan
ryan: that seat's been in the car since the day after you were here, lol...makes debugging and coding much easier on the CarPC if i dont have to be uncomfortable...

another carpc post, lol
Got the last bolt out today out of the rear driver side knuckle........that thing was a royal pain in my ass..........3 hours of heating, cutting, spraying with WD40 and 5 minutes of using the air hammer later....and she finally came out!
Now I have to run to the store to pick up more WD40 and some more smokes...all out of both
FYI: if you ever have to drill through your knuckles to accept a larger diameter bolt.....plan on having FIVE very good drill bits..............since you're only cutting with the very edge, they dull quickly.....5 bits or a good bit sharpener...
once i get back i'm going to finish drilling the knuckle out, get it on the car, and get the back end completely back together again......who knows, i could even have her on the ground by tomorrow

Haven't really had a lot of time to work on Cheri recently because of work and stuff, but to this point all of the drilling is done, the new adjustable control arms are installed and greased up and sealed, the tires are all back on the car, and the coilovers are all height adjusted to my liking.
Also I put all 4 windows back in the car, and I'm working on the last bit of wiring for the CarPC so I can get this girl back on the road soon! I have the dampers set to 15 of 32 because of the size of the tires and wheels (literally all 4 corners are flush with the fenders/quarters), so to prevent any rubbing issues, i left the coilovers a little on the stiff side.
I've got some pics, so I'll upload them soon as I shrink them

BUMP because I KNOW firsthand that there are some updates with this car. It's back on the road now and a LOT quieter inside now.

You'd think it's because he wants it to be a surprise... this isn't the case. It's just because he's lazy as fuck and never takes any pics

The other day he said, "I just realized I haven't taken pictures of any of this stuff... oops"
