just a few crappy pictures, got the bay stitch welded, holes filled, and ground smooth. just need to do some filler work on the radiator support and prime it.
should have it ready for primer by the end of next weekend if i get all the parts i order in time.

I got lazy, and need to buy the materials for the traction bar links before I weld the tube and tabs on. I should be able to get the wheel tubs in by then, so progress should go quickly.

I've always had my reservations about traction bars, but I like your approach to it. If I'm reading it correctly your replacing the lower Rad and triangulating the K-Member to the front mount location?
I'm not a fan of the hellaflush or slammed look (if it's not on bags), but I like your approach to custom engineering. Good job for keeping it "cheap" to boot!

That is exactly what I am doing. I am using a sturdy 1.5" od .120 wall Dom tube to replace the lower radiator support. It was flimsy so this adds strength and function. The bars basically keep the control arms in their natural range of motion instead of flopping around under the hard forces of acceleration.

updates!
passenger wheel tub
drivers wheel tub
side views
together
you can see my traction bar tube here...
close up of the tube... (still needs the brackets welded on)
without the rad support
with the support. almost all shaved...
a certain car lurking in the background...
that's all for a few days, i have to cut out the steel to fill the rest of the holes.
just bought wire wheels and sandpaper; we should have it ready for primer if all goes well
thanks for looking =)
