Turns out I just re-pinned the bypass wrong :tardbang:
All solved now...

Also got the headunit hacked again so it's running the custom GPS. Sound is tuned to how I love it, iPod hidden in the car, everything back the way it should be. :D

Also, got my I <3 my xB sticker in... proper color and all! (thanks for pointing it out hagan!)

The eBay seller was real cool with my screw-up as well. Instead of sending the Black back, he just sent me two new whites after ordering one. So, now I have a black and white sticker I don't know exactly what to do with.

I'm sure I'll think of something eventually.

I actually like the fridge idea... paint some wheels on the bottom, and that's a win.

Put the black one down and then put the white one down slightly over... like a "drop shadow" effect or vice versa white then black.

Cutting them out and separating isn't a bad idea... neither is a "shadow" effect. Hrmmm....

Got a couple of new stickers in Saturday. The back is -finally- starting to look filled in. I'm getting pretty close to done in that department. I don't plan to cover the entire back, just a nice arc of them. Then next year, they'll probably all be removed

Image

Also, was carting people around Saturday and the dreaded rear creak came back. -_-
I've been looking for answers up and down, and all that's left to try is wrapping the bottom coils of the spring in vinyl tape or 1/2 OD vinyl tubing. Seems the deadcoils on most (if not all) xB aftermarket springs tend to rub and create noise. Most come with wraps however.... my Ksports did not. Next time I feel like it I'll get them all wrapped up and see how that goes.

On another note, all the crap for my rack come in. All new feet, fairing grommets, caps, fairing pads, basketcase, net, etc. So, I spent quite a few hours getting it in better shape, adjusting things, etc etc. I wanted to be able to have both bike mounts and the basketcase up there, but I don't trust the weight distribution, so only one goes up at a time. Thankfully it's all extremely east to switch out.

Noticed a few spots up front where the feet were digging into my paint... apparently the vinyl wasn't covering ALL the metal like I had thought. So now I need to get touch up paint... which will be ordered from somewhere later tonight. Not a huge deal because I need it for a couple of spots on the passenger door and a tiny spot on the rear fender as well.

Image
Image

Next motivated day I'm pulling all the feet of and re-painting them since they're chipping so badly, then the new vinyl goes on. For the time being I just pulled the old stuff off and reapplied.

Andddddd my fairing got a little bit of sticker treatment as well:
Image
Image

Still need a -ton- more, but those shall be collected randomly over time. I'm in no rush.

Finally, pictures of said basket on the car:

Oh and the car is -filthy-... i fucking love it.

Basket is win, however the front license plate is baller! I love how it looks from the side. I've been trying to think of some cool ways to attach mine when I get it in a few weeks.

Chad: Let me know what you come up with. I can't think of anywhere to do something like this on a neon

Suave: <3

CM: I got it from you

Slvr: Yes please do. I wasn't sure what the 'local' modded box scene is. It'd be interesting to see what others do

On another note, harassed bean garage about where teh fuck my covers are. The response:
Spencer wrote:Hello Josh,

Sorry, I thought your order was to be included in our last shipment. My apologies, it was not. It seems that all custom orders are taking closer to 12 weeks for delivery now that customs is cracking down more and the factory is relocating to accommodate volume. The next shipment will be arriving in about two-three weeks, and this one will definitely have your set. If you don't have it by your date needed, I will be happy to partially refund your order for your troubles.

Thank you for your patience.

Thank you,

No seats for carslie then. Sounds like I'll be getting a small refund for already stupid cheap covers at least, so that's good news.

Also asked dude about my hood/bra and that was shipped out yesterday via FEDEX... so hopefully that gets here soon.

At some point i need to worry about that rear clunk so more as well... talking to people about it on the xB forums and there are some ideas I need to try. Just wont be driving the car for a bit so not horribly worried about it.

Drove the car for a few hundred miles this weekend and I'm now 90% sure the clunk is the springs binding up and releasing. I could hear it lock, then snap back into shape so I'm going to wrap the coils to reduce the friction and probably drop it enough to remove the rake so there's more space between the coils. Looks like the weather is going to be clear after today so that'll happen this week. Also need to soften them up because I'm sick of the constant bouncing on any uneven roads.

Bra got here Friday and it's not what I wanted. Looks nothing like the OEM hood bra so it's either getting sent back or sold. There's already people interested in it as well. Fed-Ex called me to let me know the hood was damaged in transit. They didn't even bother to deliver it because it wasn't packaged well enough and the corners got bent to fuck and the paint chipped. They're doing a damage report, sending it back, and the seller will have to contact Fed-ex for a refund, but in the mean time I requesting for a full refund or I'll open a pay-pal dispute tonight to speed the process up. Looks like there will be no artsy/rusted hood for me :(
