Man, one hell of a welcome home. That is shitty.

Let me ask around and see what the best glass repair place would be.

EDIT: And congrats on the win! I heart your box.

Dam.

Any chance you could change it yourself? That would be cheap if you could find a glass in a jy or something.

It's pretty easy on a neon, but idk about the box.

Chris: Muchos Gracias por favor! Let me know as soon as you find something out because I want to get the shit fixed. Not sure how sturdy the tints going to be in holding it all together, but at the very least it is still water proof. I thin more grats are due to you in winning both 1st in wild and best in show!

heydockyle: i have no idea how hard it is, but i really don't want to fuck with it. i'd rather spend the extra money (even though i can't "technically" afford it) and have a pro do it.

I may just go all out and get my shit tinted dark as hell and put a brighter LED in my alarm. I gotta sit down and figure out my finances before any of that non-sense though.

Just checked with the few people and the consensus is Glass Doctor since it's a side window. I think they'll even bring the window out and do it at your apartment.

And thanks man! I actually won 2nd for Wild and Best in Show. :)

Damn Josh that sucks about the window :( Hopefully it was just them shooting at random rather than on purpose. I know the paranoia that ensues following all of that. :( You're better off not putting in a claim because a driver's door window should cost you $150 or less installed unless your glass is super expensive.

Chris: Thanks, I'll give them a call on my break and see what the cost is gonna be. I'll just find a local shop to re-tint the fronts and drop the rears to a -much- darker tint.

Dave: Ha, I didn't even bother to try after awhile. My shits so slow

Crystalmarie: Hopefully when I check everything out even closer that's the conclusion I come up with. It could just be kids being kids, or it could be something I really need to worry about. I'm calling Toledo PD and filing a report tonight as a just-in-case.

Definitely do that so it's documented. I hate vandals....so I 100% understand. They smashed the window on Nee back in Feb just to see what I had inside the car, when they found it was nothing, they left.

Go to Total Image Window Tinting. It's not far from your place and Ron will get you taken care of for a great price. Tell him the guys from CYL sent you!

Will do then. I was hoping to put the whole getting shit tinted off for quite awhile longer, but this looks like it's going to be pushing my plans forward quite a bit.

I figured something -had- to go wrong after this weekend. I was one of the few cars without issues

Glass doctor is coming out tomorrow to get it fixed. $154 + tax. :?

After that's repaired I'll hit up Total Image about my tint. Hopefully it doesn't break the bank too badly haha. I can't decide with 20% alround, or 20% up front and 5% the rest of the way....

While he will have a lot of window to cover, it's all vertical and easy to get to...so I think he'll be able to give you a good price.

GOOOOOO BROKEN WINDOW PICTURES!

Talked to management and it was only my car that got fubar'd. Cassie I think figured out what happened as well. It looks like a screwdriver was used. Dead-center in the break point is a small indentation like that of a phillips head screwdriver.

So, I'm thinking random person/punk ass kid is looking into windows, sees my headunit, goes for the break but sets my alarm off. Freaks out and makes a run for it (no one ever came back.)

I really feel it was random and I wasn't targeted. I took off my droid windshield mount and you bet your ass I have my OEM cover on it now. Also going to start doing a few other things to prevent this from happening again. Still brings up some baaaaddddd memories and I'm rather uneasy but meh. I'll get over it.

Could of been worse, they could of actually got my stereo. My window could of feel to pieces and rained in all night. For what happened, it wasn't as bad as it could of been.

Going later this week to the police station to fill out a report.

You could pay someone to sit outside and protect your parking lot at shotgun point...

Just got home from Carlisle and read about your window. Ouch about the money and damage to the box but at least you weren't inside at the time.

I'm not gonna lie, that window looks wickid crazy rofl.

But yes, I do agree. It could have been worse. As far as hiring someone to sit outside of your car at night... I'm game. Instead of a shotgun though, I choose a machete :)
