I bought my AEM intake from silversport back in the day after his wreck and it was all fucked up so I sanded it smooth and used dealer spray bombs of PS2 and clear and it looks good!

Also, if you're doing black wheels, please don't paint the stock wheels. I HATE blacked out SRT wheels. I think it looks so trashy
Not worried bout the wheels and even though the intake is cheap ($35)... I'm not buying it either.

3rd gear grind = where every penny needs to go..

New gear stuff $400 +....
Install $200+
WOT Box $100 +
Maddog Shifter (possibly) $100 +

So yea... car is back to daily driver status and shifting from 2 to 4 for a bit... :(

Car still grinds third... saving monies to fix it.

Replaced the stock end links with my new prothane shorter ones.

Still has an exhaust leak at the turbo manifold...

I really dont want to do all that work to replace the gasket for nothing. I was hoping to buy a 3" 02 housing and replace the 02 housing while I was working but this 3rd gear grind thing came along... fml

Yea, I have a leaking turbo manifold gasket.. so I gotta get up there anyhow.

In fact, I might tear into this weekend... it's bad enough to not have 3rd (well I do but not in the racing aspect) but sound like shit at the same time. (exhaust leak makes the car sound like DOOOKIE)

That's a damn shame man! You car is so purty, good to see you're not just letting it go and buying up goodies instead.

Weren't you powershifting when you were racing that Z car? I know of a couple locals that powershift the shit out of their cars and always have tranny issues. I have 94k on my tranny with no grinding issues and no WOT/powershifts. *knock on wood* But weren't you having issues when you bought the car? Gear set isn't that bad to replace since you can access it through the wheel well on the drivers side I believe.

I replaced the entire gear shift with one from a 05 when I first got the car. I got the AGP shift selector and called it good. Started wot shifting and it was like an addiction :P

I wot shift the hell out of my old SRT-4 and no issues... my dads old SRT-4 no issues...but apparently they can't handle it

When I get it back together, I guess, screw wot shifting.

I paid $9,000 for mine last November with 128,000 miles .... condition is more important than mileage ..... a lot of SRT-4's are so "ragged out" they're not worth owning at any price

Exactly, his was rough as hell....

If I wanted, I'm sure I could push my car off on a military guy for 9-10k... but I don't want to sell it so I'm not pushing.

I have a new exhaust / turbo manifold gasket that I need to replace to fix my leak :( I'm so sick of my exhaust leak.... so I guess we'll see if I get around to doing that.

I hear it's a BITCH to do ....

I'm also bout to put an order in with pwerks.

I can count on one hand how many times I did WOT shifts in my SRT4. I knew the transaxle wouldn't take it, so I rarely took the chance.

Umm... let's see.. I changed out the wheel bearing in the back right with a vatozone special (has a warranty so why the fk not)

Took like 10 minutes to do it... lol.

My car no longer sounds like a monster truck with 44" mud boggers going down the highway.

I love it.

No new news other than that... oh and I low balled a guy on SRTforums for a set of ACR wheels w/ tires..but I doubt he will bite.

My rear wheels look kinda faded in the center or look like the silver is kind of showing through. Doesn't look too bad in person but I'm wondering if it's from heat.. I put a couple coats of paint on them + a light coat of clear.

Oh well, they look good enough to me though :P

Anyhow, just snapped a few pics with my little point and shoot.
