Nice

EDIT:

On a typical DBag note, my car is lower than Ryan's and handles ~1/8 as well, so I win. Wiring up VTEC is on hold because my cheap ass has to save monies to buy a godamn knock sensor. PLUS they only sell weld-in rear quarter panels in pairs, so I get to piss away moar money than I thought.

Also, in typical ricer fashion, the rear tow hook is back on and I might toss the front one on for shiggles.

Yes sir! Mine are just like a brushed aluminum. Not cutting bumpers FTW. I might take pictures sometime soon, since the car looks decent.

Also contemplated going full ricer and grabbing an EJ6 or USDM FTW front plate since those damn plate holes are there.

Lol. The front tow hook installs all super sleek. Fixin' to toss it on.

Yes Teej, the cancer is going before winter. Cheapest rear quarter panel weld-in pieces I've found are $150 for a pair. Once I get those, I'll start sittin' on cash so I can take the car and just have them both done. Then it'll be rust-free!

BOTH towhooks are back off. Enough knocking my shins every time I walk around the car.

Also, the windows have been tinted and it's all sealed / finalized / whatever. I can roll them down and there are only a few small spots that bug me.

In other news, I made the plunge of opening headlights. It was SUPER easy. I used a write-up from a Honduh forum and they came apart like butter. Prepped, painted, dried, applied, heated, clamped, heated, and clamped and BAM "JDM" black housings rofl. Real ones are like $600 and eBay ones are fugly plastic-y. These look good and were like $6 and a few hours of my time. Also bombed the wheels gloss black and it looks WORLDS better. Now that the wheel situation is temporarily solved, I can actually hold out and ALL mods (except a knock sensor) and get this rust knocked out.

Pics to come tomorrow. I failed today because well....I was busy.

Woot for being the only one in my log! Head on over to OTM, since I ACTUALLY took pics. The title says "Civic" in it somewhere.

Lawl. I'd say "psych!" but in all seriousness, the new owner is a mechanic and is getting the Neon is damn good shape mechanically. He's paying me to make him a new front bumper / lip setup as well. He's a good dude and will have more done to that car by August than I did in a little under 4 years.

The Civic stays.

I was in your log until it directed me to go to the other post in OT media about this wagon of yours.. Calling it that amuses me for some reason or another.

^ Win! I've got some of Iz in that sort of pose when she was tiny, too. I'll find them and bump w/ them. Thanks John!

Ok, so here goes....

Chels is right, whether we're on good terms or not. I can't save money for shit. I've got my mom pretty much paid off, so it's just my CC payment each month and the rest is "spending." I had been doing research on the Megan Racing Drift Spec exhaust because it's only like $330. Well, I find a knock-off of THAT exhaust (which is an Apexi N1 rep) for $190 shipped. The kicker? It's the EXACT same Tsudo exhaust I had on the Neon that sounds fucking awesome IMO. Granted, it had three different mufflers, and the final muffler wasn't what came with it. I'll grab that since it's under $200 and then get a solid can and have a shop swap 'em out so I know it'll sound solid. The piping is crucial, and Tsudo makes solid stuff (personal experience and other reviews say so) so I'll grab that and get a legit muffler with real baffles and shit in it.

Also, I might just snatch the rear lip as well because a replica is only $45 shipped, so it's not losing much. Once I've got a real exhaust on (which effectively gets rid of the current leaks) and the rear lip, I can save to take all the lips / mouldings off and have them squirted while the rear quarter panel is being fixed.

WOMP WOMP!

Just ordered the CTR rear lip replica off of eBay, as well as an Si replica grille or whatever. It's just got black honeycomb and the grille surround....so it's pretty much the same as mine except not cut to shit and you can't see right through it.

Now I'm waffling on the exhaust....

^ I will, I'm sure. It's just the black ABS / Poly plastic that the lips come in. Hell, the front is unpainted haha. Lord knows I'll be ricer and put it on before it's painted. I'm gonna tear the entire lip kit off and door mouldings to take it all in and get painted @ once.

Actually, I'm gonna run out and take some pics real quick of where the car is. BRB!

Steven, how nice of you to stop :hello2:
