Busted up original fender, fender on the car now is rattle canned. I wetsanded it and buffed it, it came out pretty damn good!


He removed / replaced the carpeting in the car because there was mold growing on the old one




Thanks for the tip, on the replacement connector! I will definitely look into that!

I won't get a chance to go back there until Monday...I work the next 3 days and I'm busy Sunday. I'll take a peak for you though, next time I go.

So, anyways....I went to the yard today, and I got myself a door connector plug. Sure enough, its the same plug for the MFS. I snipped 2 of them off, just in case, and came home. Depinned the new door plug....and slowly, wire by wire, broke the old connector apart, and re-pinned the new plug. I say broke apart, because my connector was soo melted, it was brittle, deformed, and just a mess. My old connector was in about 50 different peices by the tim I was through. Finished repinning the new plug, put it back together....and no foglights. I checked the fuse...and it was blown. Replaced the fuse...still no foglights. So I crawl under the car, and the bulb was removed from the driver side housing, and the connector was broken. SO, I need to pick up a new bulb AND connector for the foglights.

My question is...

What do you guys use for bulbs in your foglamps?

Yep, I ordered my Cherokee with pretty much everything I wanted. I didn't want electric windows, but it was far cheaper to oder the package for that part, since everything else I wanted was included.

Then the salesman made another sale off of it while it was waiting for me to take delivery, since the guy wanted to but it as equipped.

Today I went to the junkyard and got a driver side fog light housing....the passenger side one they had was crappy. I got home.......and found out the 2002 fogs don't fit a 2001 front bumper. ARGH! To make things worse.....I also bought a set of 2003+ tail lights...only to find out they are shaped differently and leave a gap underneath them, on a 2001 rear bumper. All I bought today that fit, were OE floor mats. lol oh well. I wanna upgrade to the 2002 front bumper someday anyways. A 2003+ rear bumper would be nice too...

Since nothing went well for me today, I decided to debadge the car. Got rid of all the discolored "used to be chrome" decals on the car. It looks cleaner now with no names on it. Thought about doing the bodyside molding too...but I'm gonna leave that for another day. Still not sure on that one yet.

I could have warned you about the differences between the 03+ models....

Hahahaha oh well. Oh by the way...that radio you gave me worked pretty good.....until I heard a POP from the dash...and it stopped working. I checked the fuse...it appears to be fine still. What else could have popped? The "dimmer lights" illuminate in the radio...but the display doesn't work, nor does it play music. The CD Changer illuminates too. Any ideas?

I wonder if the radio actually crapped out on ya, got to love used parts...
