You can lower it just fine... most of us are running those size tires. They look like 215/45/17 yes? And damn your car looks so much like superdan's did. He had the same wheels and tail lights.

^^^ was just thinking the same thing.

we both put the same tires on the same wheels (well similar wheels lol)

still debating lowering my car..

today i finally washed my car, and i figured since it was such a good day i would take the time to pull off my side moldings. i would definitely recommend this to anyone who owns a neon.. best FREE mod ever!

Pictures:

forgot to take a before picture, but you can still kinda imagine the moldings on the car with the glue still on it.

Image
Image

ignore the huge dent in the rear door ):

anyways, much much cleaner, i really like the difference.

Image

shows that it just pulls off on a warm day, and how dirty my car was..

Wow car looks great man. You should hit up your local dealership and get some px8 (i think thats black) spray paint and color match the front trim on your grill.

A mild drop would be great for this car.

Keep posting!

i would get some either blacked out headlights or maybe invest in some retros or just aftermarket headlights.. nd b honest those sidemarkers just stand out too much.. with ur blackwheels... imo i say either tint them red or black. nd of course lower that biatch.. 200 bucks and ur car can b slammed well not litterly slammed but a lot lower...

i've been looking for some headlights, i might just get some stock
one but with a black housing. the side markers might look better tinted,
if i tint my tails and fogs i'll tint the side markers too while im at it.
its gonna take me at least a month and a half to save up for the lowering
kit if i start now. thanks for the comments :]

Just got back from a day in Vegas doing some shopping for my car.
I didn't grab much but i've got a few things coming up!

- fuel rail cover from fusion210
- first wax my car has seen since, who knows?
- purchased a front/back bumper lip kit from the dealer

the lip kit is being sent from detroit and wont be here for another week ):
but when i go to pick it up, im gonna stop by the junkyard to try to
find me some skirts to go with my new lips! i'm also going to add a
home depot lip to the front bumper.

i figured i'll also clean my engine bay while installing the fuel rail cover finally.

pictures will be posted asap.

had those same sidemarkers. Hated them so much lol I think if you lightly tint them they would look a lot better. Get some black housing headlights and tint the tail lights and it will look fresh

and please dont put a HD lip on your mopar lip lol it will look like butt...just sayin

i forgot to check for some tint spray while i was in autozone, but
i'm making a list to prepare me for next time. i definately want to tint
the side markers because the first thing i notice about my car is the damn
side markers.. i might also make an attempt to paint my own headlights
and add some LED strips like LSP while im working on them. and the
reason i was considering the HD lip was because it seemed like a protector
for the lip, and an extra inch lower? but i'll put the lip on first and see how
much i like it.

well the HD lip looks pretty lame on the 03+ bumpers. They are just too round. As for being a protector, idk how much or if any, that you scrape your front bumper but its probably going to get trashed. Really no way around scraping the bottom of the lip. No one can see the bottom anyways

i don't recall ever scraping the ground, and if a bump or dip looks big i take it
at an angle. thats what your suppose to do, right?

Posted: Sat Nov 13, 2010 12:42 am
by superdan
yeah thats how i have to take them with the mopar lip...but im on megan coilovers with a ~1 finger gap all the way around. The bottom of my lip is scratched all to hell and my actual bumper is "ripped" from scrapping.

can you just send me a duplicate clone of your car since you've
practically already finished everything i plan on doing?
i'm keeping my rims though. lol

lolz...you wouldnt want my car and all its issues trust me.

paint your grille trim black also. Might as well since i did to mine lol

by iThane
hahaha i was actually suppose to get the paint for that today,
but i can't buy spray paint since im only 17. what's 3 months
gonna do to me? everything tag-able is already covered here..

EDIT:

opinion on engine color accents?

f*cked up photo edit but kind of an idea of what i plan to do.
Image

too much?

i also plan on tucking the wires, and definitely cleaning the bay..
eventually grab an ebay CAI too.

fail lol well in three months i expect the grille trim to be painted black

edit: dont do your bay like that lol...paint all of the yellow caps black. Leave the rad hose black. Get a rt valve cover and paint it red. Or paint your plastic one red. Then paint the letters on your injector cover red. DONE

Lip Kit is finally here!! i only bought the front and back at the time,
so hopefully i can find the skirts in black at the junk yard.. if not i guess
its gonna be another wait for the dealer to get me the side skirts.
i would just wear the front and back, but wouldnt i look silly without
the skirts?

The dealer definitely can't get you mopar skirts. They have been discontinued and sold out for years. The lips might look a little off without skirts but its really your choice. The skirts can be hard to find.
