Midnight_Rider's progress log
What I've done so far:
1. Mopar STS;
2. PT Cruiser shift knob;
3. Decklid carpet;
4. R/T leather armrest;
5. Mopar BOV;
6. Silverstar headlight bulbs.
Since I don't have the funds to do the neat stuff that most everyone else around here does, I have been concentrating on wear parts.
Here is a list of what parts have been replaced so far:
1. Cowl (cracked in the middle due to engine heat);
2. Weatherstrip under cowl (under the hood);
3. The three Philips head screws that surround the gas filler neck (they had started to rust).
Wear parts that will be replaced in the near future:
1. The two bolts for each door that are around the hinge (mine have surface rust- I already have the bolts, just need to schedule the work);
2. The foam rubber bumpers that adhere to the rear quarter panels under the trunk deck (stabilizers for the SRT wing- I already have two sets, just waiting for warmer temperatures for better mounting).
See, I do have some mods but they are pretty pedestrian. Maybe I'll shock everyone and do some real performance mods someday.
UPDATED per Tam's reminder about the armrest.

Those strut bars were very cheap on eBay, but without the label. Rears only. Fronts don't do much, but look cool.
Maybe a Mopar CAI in the future too?

I KNEW IT!!!!
Once you started modding just the slightest little bit, you don't want to stop
EDIT: By the way, I think a Mod needs to "sticky" this thread so it always stays at the top

I think you should order a DSP. It'll really wake the car up, and it's also not noticeable from the outside!
So many neons so little time.

^^Okay, here is my ignorance again- what is a DSP?
Yup. I'll have to get pics of the knob and rusty bolts one of these days- it's just difficult since I can't get the doors completely open in my tiny garage.heydockyle wrote:PT shift knob fit right where the SRT one does?
Exactly- that's the idea.MyNeonSaysHi wrote:Those strut bars... Rears only. Fronts don't do much, but look cool.

If I didn't love mine so much I'd donate them to you. If anything happens to the car (knock on wood) I'll make sure they go to youMidnight_Rider wrote:
I don't know about that- I can't even get grocery bag hooks for it.

If I could just figure out how to meld the Outback and the Neon into one car...
