Yeah the twins are due to arrive anytime from the beginning of May to the second week of June. Actual due date is June 11, but we have been told that we can expect them earlier.
And yeah I have a good mechanic. When this engine goes, I may go for a newer avenger.

Ok I am somewhat droolin' right now.
I know I am trying to get my wife to either get a grand caravan or an avenger when her Buick LeSabre finally kicks the bucket.
And I wonder if the 17s from my neon would fit an avenger?

If you are talking about lowering the car, that is a negative. I have a drainage dip in front of my driveway that I can do nothing about because it is on what is considered county property. And I really don't want to kill the bottom of my car trying to get in and out of my driveway. Enough I have to back out at an angle just to get out without scraping the exhaust.

I know they have, I am happy with it the way it is right now. Anways, future plans are for coilovers so we will see then. But that is not going to be anytime soon. Gotta focus on the twins that are due in a few months.

Why did you go with such a low profile tire/wheel package if you knew you wouldn't be able to lower the car?
Also, why coilovers if you can't lower it?

Because I didn't find out until after I had gotten the rims and tires and I like them too much to take em back.
I am still trying get ahold of the county to see if I can put something like a pvc pipe in the place of the drainage dip and then cement over to smooth over the dip. That is why the coilovers are way into the future. I had plans to lower it after the driveway is dealt with.

I was thinking lastnight about the whole dip in front of my driveway. And got to the conclusion that I can put an air suspension set up on it. Now all I have to do is come up with much needed $$$ to buy a good kit, whenever that will be.

Hmmm. Yeah, you can do that. I've heard horror stories from people using airbags on their DD though.
Good luck though!

Well when it comes around to getting it done, it will no longer be a daily driver. With the twins coming we are going to eventually get a Dodge Journey to be my daily driver.

I do like those Journey's.
I'll also say if you end up going airbags, make sure you get a good kit. You don't want an airbag failing or anything while you're driving somewhere.

Next up on the agenda is something special for the engine. I will not tell what until it is installed.

Since the part I am waiting on is a special order and will take a while to get to me. At the end of the month, I am going to order a power antenna for the neon. Figure I will probably hook up a switch so I can put it up and down when I want to and not depend on the stereo being on for it to have power.

Once we get the Journey it will go to being a show car and something for me to cruise around town in when I just want to get away for awhile.
And coilovers are going to be put on instead of air, after I took a look and saw what it takes to get all that done. I will just go ahead and get the drainage dip dealt with.

Looking at painting the bezel around the hvac and the shifter bezel. I want to paint them the deep water blue pearl. It's also the same color I want the car painted.
Injector cover in Deep Water Blue Pearl.
The fuse box cover in the same color.

Thanks... I am in the middle of letting the paint dry on the shifter bezel. Next up is a nice finish coat of clear.

From what I have found out, it is a Dodge color from a few years ago. It is also used on the 2011 Dodge Rams also. A Challenger was the first one I saw with that color, and I have looked and haven't seen any other neon with it.
Edit: I got informed today that my Killer Glass radiator hose in on its way.

Recieved my Killerglass radiator hose today. Hopefully I can get a friend that already put one in his Dodge Magnum to help me with mine.
