Droop's Progress Log...Got some new shoes Page3
Ok, I've been on here for a while and have finally decided to start a progess log. My car was bought bone stock (sorry no pics) and have slowly brought it up.
Ok, here's a couple of pics of my first mods...
4x4 stance.....
All I had was rattle canned snowflakes and an ebay CAI with a K&N filter. I also had a OBX Longtube, no cat and srt rear exhaust.
Living in Cali I got tired of dodging the rollerz and ditched my Non CARB CAI and header. I had my stock header and cat put back on and ordered a K&N Typhoon system.
Here's a shot of the ebay intake that I had painted black.....
I had a mishap and my intake fell off while driving and ran it over. True story.
Ok so here's the Typhoon system.
For $228 it came with the intake, recharger kit and oil filter. Not bad......
Before I start my install I need my tools....
Oh damn, They both K&N. It's just that one hasnt been run over.
Make sure you always wear protection.....
I was having a bit of trouble getting the filter to stay on....
So I sanded the purtty gloss of the tip.......
"Borrowed" some of the wifey's hairspray and solved the problem..
So here's how it looks underneath....for now.
Other than that I have....
Sportlines with the Blues
Tinted tails and sidemarkers
Duel exhaust
205/55's on flatblack snow flakes
MPX projectors with 8k HID's
Coolwhite gauges and license plate
Kenwood cd player
Infinity Kapa 6 1/2's door mount and 6x9's
HomeDepot lipkit
I think that's pretty much it. I have alot more plans but I thought I'd finally start a log. Hope you all enjoy. I appreciate all feedback. Let me know what you think.

Ok so here's the bodykit I ordered from Andy's Auto Sport. It's not a top shelf kit and I knew that so I'm koo with it.
The front
The back
The homie 2003se59 (omar) was there to lend a helping hand.
Me and my boy test fitting the rear.
Here it is on while Omar takes a breather.
In action trying to remove front end.
In more action trying to remove front end.
Forget action this is me just "doing"!! Lol
Comparison of the front.
Got it on but its rough
here it is painted
Here's the front. Still need the grille and the bumper to be aligned and straightened but it got late.
We still need to add skirts. I know its not perfect but at least I got it on. I plan in the future to take it to a shop to have it molded so for now it'll do.

The homie Omar has some painting skills. He has a gun and what not. He knew the paint code, PS2, slid him the funds and he had it done in a few days.
Now this isnt a shop worthy paint and install. It's just a temp untill I have more funds to have it molded in a shop.
Major props to the homie for his work.

I think he means that the body kit is hideous and I'd have to agree. But to each his own, I suppose. The rear bumper doesn't seem like it fits too poorly.DroopDaddy408 wrote:Work in progress. Hopefully I'll have it looking right soon.

Trust me I hear you guys. I do admit that I did have a clean look going on before. This was a gamble that I wanted to take and expect about 80% or more of you guys to not approve. It's koo. I'ma see what I can do with this project. If I can get it right to my liking, I'll keep it. If not, then on to the next project.

its not up to us how you mod your car. i think the kit will look better
once you get the adjustments made. the back end really doesn't
look too bad either. IMO, its more attractive than my rear bumper

Haganracing- Thanks, aye. I'm not a fan of extravagant bodykits but wanted more than a lipkit so I'ma just see what I can do with this. Wish me luck!!
Esfan- Ya, I know it looked good before. But have'nt you ever been at a point with your ride to where you are "bored" and what to try something totally different than what you'd normally do?? Well, that's where I'm at. It's finally paid off, and I'ma play with it. Oh, and I dont want to go any lower. I already scrape the shit out of it everywhere.
FAC3L3SS- Thanks Homeboy. I appreciate the realtalk. Ya, we test fitted and after that we remove the pieces and I parked my car in my garage till pieces were ready. Kept my ricer moves to a minimal.
Thane- Thanks, aye. I'm hoping it does look better with the final touches done. I just wanted something more. Lets see how it works out.
