so i finally got my mopar head gasket kit from chrysler i waited almos 2 months for the gaskets but oh well i got em at a discount for 85 bucks so its cool lol...
Well i got some pictures of the install here we go.
this is the engine with almost everything thats going to go on it.
all nice and shiney
i took the valve cover off and boy were the insides clean for a 100 k motor
old head gasket off and matting surfaces cleaned
new head gasket on
new water pump and timing belt tentioner almost in
and this is as far as i got i didnt even get to time the engine when i was putting the cam caps one of the bolts snapped with out even putting pressure on it so i checked all the bolts and they show signs of strech on em so i need to get new cam cap bolts before i can do anything else
also when i took everything off i noticed that the timing belt, water pump, and head gasket were recently changed im guessing noot too long ago since the motor only has 106k so im going to keep the parts just in case thanks. for looking i hope to at least have the engine in the car by next week the next thing to do is mod my harness since my alternator is now in the front and the power steering is in the back thats going to be super fun lol

I was fixing your tags for you, but I now see that you fixed them in a seperate post.
*Edit* Unless that was a double post, which seems to be happening quite a bit lately.

Nice build man, keep it up.
FYI....i would look into the 41te tranny a little more before you decide to go that route. They are not known for their strength. Yeah the auto stick feature is cool and all but they can only hold a max of like 300 horses and you cannot boost while in overdrive so no highway romps.
Good luck with the build either way....
