You could try swapping the needle motors. If you swap the cluster boards, the mileage will stay with the board. (If the board isn't the issue.)

Plastidip should hold up against any acid out gassed onto it too.

I think the FIRST thing to try (fixing the tach) is a new/different stepper motor...

I'm intrigued by the Raceland Ultimo's now that I've heard several people say they ride very well.

The big question: 205/45r16 or 205/50r16? The 45's are shorter than stock and the 50's are taller. The perfect match is 215/45r16....but there are no tires available in that size. I'm looking at the Direzza DZ102 as my first choice right now.

With the R/T gearing, the 205's shouldn't be too bad. They did sap some power on my 3.55 gearing, but considering the engine is pretty whipped....

IIRC, 195/50 R16 is a near match, but you are giving up a smidge of width.

Unless you're looking to lower more than 2" there is always this option too: Tein S-Tech

Yes, I do like the S-tech springs, but by the time you buy springs and 4 new struts, you've spent the same or more than the Ultimo's. I think the Racelands are the way to go.

I'm also thinking that 205/45's will look pretty nice if I lower the car down on them. Sure my 75mph highway rpm will be sky high....but....oh well.

Nice. I see you got new lettering. Reminds me of faded chrome that got peeled off all the way. Could just be the picture

Just to RIP this thread...this is how the car looked when I sold it. The girl that bought it lasted about a year before she totaled it.

That sucks. Another R/T bites the dust.

Indeed... it would be awesome if this car was still around. Oh well, life goes on.
