A lot of people are going to HATE them, or dislike them. I'm prepared, one of the reasons I like them so much... and I thought if I do ever want to re-do them it will only take $15 and 2 hours.

Very recently... last night  and still working on it today

Does that mean I should scrap the idea of getting some sweet ass Altezza's, a super wide body kit, and 20" chrome rims?

:laughing3:

 Is that in the to-do list?

Is that in the to-do list?
well not anymore

but I might get an SRT-D front bumper w/ Mopar front lip, probably a different set of rims next spring/summer, also some coilovers.

Depending on how she runs, there could be a possible swap :D :D

got a little lazy after my previous post but then around 10pm I got a burst of energy and decided to do some more.

sunroof slider panel thing.... and b pillars. Definitely not perfect, but I'm content with it

Image

first thing tomorrow morning I should be putting the interior back together so my car can be functional again. Then I still need to cover up the c pillars and paint the sun visors black.

Hmm... will look interesting with the plaid and blacked out pieces... I'll have to wait to see it all together, but I think it woulda been good to do one or the other. Unsure till I see it... definitely like the plaid though! :)

Okay, it was a productive 1.5 hour morning

- Headliner is in (looks great!)
- b pillars are in
- sunroof panel is in

All that's left now is to wrap the c pillars and spray the sun visors black. So that should alll be done sometime tonight.

I'll post pictures of the final product

IT'S DONE! finally

I actually really like the finished product, the pictures really don't do it justice. I'm not saying that if you don't like it here you'd love it in person because you probably wouldn't... all I'm saying is that it definitely does look better in person.

and time for some pictures :tardbang: (I didn't do a perfect job, there a few little things that should be fixed/repainted, but I'm lazy and don't feel like taking it apart)

Image

Image

Image

^ the stupid sticker shit for the warning wouldnt come off... so I just sprayed over it. I might do something to it cover it up, haven't decided yet. Also the sunroof swtich cover is still beige, I kinda like it beige.

Image

Image

AND I went and picked up another license plate cover to replace the broken one, which got even worse when I washed the car the other day.

Image

that is all.

Take it from someone with darker plaid, that armrest WILL work loose and get ridiculously dirty.

Also, I suggest putting your window switches back to stock, or wrapping it much much smoother. Looks tacky and rushed.

Lastly, and I'm guilty of this in a few spots myself, you stretched the hell out of your plaid. For the pieces, it can naturally be laid down, and it only needs to be stretched around corners / edges. Otherwise, I dig the black headliner and wrapped sunroof cover!

I did the armrest so that I could easily remove it with no marks or anything. I don't like the armrest in plaid too much anyways.

that was the smoothest I could get it... plus underneath is silver spray paint. That's why I decided to fabric wrap it, hated the painted pillars, etc.

I kept trying and trying to keep it natural but I kept getting creases and shit.

Very nice! i like the way it turned out. i did mine a few months ago and still have some peices that need finished! What paint did you use on the trim pieces? how hard was it to get the sunroof trim in without scratching/chipping paint??

I ended up using the same fabric paint on the trim pieces, and it turned out pretty good. the Sunroof trim was super easy, it went back in without giving me any issues and it didnt chip or anything.

So I've decided I'm going to be putting anymore money into the RT for awhile. I'm waiting on whether or not I decide to get an SRT, rebuild/replace the engine, or maybe even get an entirely different car.

Last night I took out the LFS throttle body (it was ruining my gas mileage, about 30-40 km a tank). Also I finally got my motor mount inserts and shorty endlinks, but I don't think I'll be putting them in my car. MAYBE if I'm bored one day

Image

OH! and I finally put my grille back on

I love the exterior and the engine bay. The interior is not my cup of tea but if you like it . I would fix the bumper you have instead of going SRT-D. Your bumper is so much sexier than a D bumper!

For the visors, I taped over the sticker, then painted....then untaped. Or...you could buy caliber ones they're similar in size :)

New Pictures!

So I ended up selling my LFS throttle body :/ but the money goes into my "boost savings account"

Also, my buddy took some pics of my car. He says they turned out shit since he didn't have his DSLR, but I was happy with them :D

they turned out like shit because he thought he was taking myspace photos apparently.... angled pics? really? it's 2011.

But other than that, its looking good. I'm not a fan of the streaky headliner (you can see the coverage isn't even) or the stretched out plaid, but props to you. Keep on building it.

Today I put the car in winter mode :(

and these steelies JUST clear my calipers

Image

fat sidewalls, ugly steelies, rubber mats, and no passenger seat. The reason for the seat out is I'm a ski instructor and I go out with my buddies quite often, so intead of taking out my sub and awkwardly using my trunk/backseat I thought might as well just remove the pass seat. gear goes in and out easily until I can afford a roof rack.

caught up on some regular maintenance:

- cleaned fuel system
- new plugs
- new wires
- new coil pack
- fresh oil change

drives much much better now :)

Also found out that my rad fan motor is done, so I'm in need of a new one. I'm afraid to even ask the stealership how much so I'll probably just pick up one from a scrap neon or something. No rush, don't really need it until the weather gets warmer

*edit

As I'm looking at my post in class, my instructor comes up to me and says "I want that car. I'm never going to get, but I want it" as she points at my car in my sig....
