I got a 2L DOHC head on my 2.4L swap an still got the tube seal problem best like the other poster above to use some sealent plus new tube seals on the valve cover to fix the problem.

that's funny because dohc heads done have those spark plug tubes... your gasket isn't on a clean surface if your not getting a seal and its leaking clean and put a new gasket on

been there done that with my buddys car Gunmetalsxt... you can make more hp and torque using a 2.4L.. Or atleast a 2.0l dohc head flows better and better cam choices and srt maifolds are interchangeable

SWEEET, it's supposed to be done and shipped out for friday. I'm hoping I can get it by next friday, but who knows with customs

Wait a minute. So your telling me that the sohc motor has had its Max HP potential reached?????? I highley doubt that. Has anyone cut the sohc head in half and ported it to safe maximum and then tested it on a flow bench? If so I'd like to see it. And further more I highly doubt anyone has swapped cams,intakes ect. To see what makes more peak HP and torque. There has not been enough substancial evidence to support your claims. One person maybe but I believe there is more in it. If Honda 1.5s can make 700hp then why can't a 2.0 sohc. There head isn't much better.

How many turbo motors have you built? how many turbo neons have you owned? Honda have a whole lot more aftermarket support than us.
talk to Erick at ASP... Adam Wasson currently has the highest hp record currently with a Sohc 2.0L. Im not saying it was max hp reached but it was a long costly journey and straight from his mouth he would of just went 2.4L or atleast 2.0l dohc.
Would you piss into the wind just to prove a point and try to not get any on you?

If you weren't lazy you would have not listened to other people complain they spent to much money. And you would have worked on head,cam,intake development. You say not enough support well I disagree. We have plenty of parts available. Just not enough people want to test shit. Its to easy to go 2.4.

My car has nothing to do with your claims. Quit posting useless crap and discouraging sohc owners. But just so you know I have a long rod 2.0 built and blue printed on a s20g with supporting mods. My Turbo maxes out around 500 to 550.** so to make a number that impresses the weak minded well I would need a bigger Turbo.

My buddy was sponsored by hahns racecraft with his cavalier car had a 35r on 30psi and made a little over 600whp and your teling me your 20g is going to make 550? Put the dope down dude

Super street online type Len Ayala in Google they give you a run down of what was done to his 96 neon. He had a dohc yes but he is running a Hahn s20g. With out nitrous ran 11.30 he was running 30 psi. Making over 500hp. You are saying the 20g will not support that and your wrong my friend.

470whp with a ton of backing and dyno time.. Or maybe no dyno time or numbers and all could of been dialed in at the track and just made up hp numbers for the article. How do you actually know? Well then clear the air here. Find out if the article is bullshit or not? Also I don't have a problem with Erick or anyone for that matter. If the article is wrong and I'm wrong then fine. But then it needs set straight. Len is an important person in the neon community and if that is a bullshit article well then I'm dissapointed in them.

Just so you know because a hp rating is put on a turbo doesn't mean that's how much hp your going to make. All supporting mods have a effect and all dynos read differently.. I could really care less you just basically called me a lier and I have no basis for your claims. I have real life experience and you have proved you have none. You read on the internet a article that's over 10 years old.. tell me how many people ran 20g turbos and made the same hp his car made if it was actual?

Yea, no Hahn 20g will be making 500 whp on any motor without other help. Len ran a 20g with an exhaust housing bigger than was available normally. He did his big numbers with a rising rate fuel pressure regulator, leaded race gas, and direct port nitrous on a progressive controller.
Yes, Len is a good friend. I learned a lot from him.
