Dohc turbo swap

nop, stock bottom end, but i got sohc pistons, dohc head, a little bigger combustion chamber and sohc ecu with less agressive timming.

I think there should be no problem, I have 160 psi compression.

Its not a matter of your compression. Its a matter of the fact that the stock SOHC bottom end can't handle that. Cody got lucky cause he has a super safe tune on his MS. You don't have that. I wish you the best of luck with your increase in boost

is your car a 2000? if not how did you make the iac work? i want to do a dohc swap but im waiting to get another manifold to modify to use the stock tb

question: if i put 8.8 pistons and eagle rods, how many psi i can boost with stock ecu and srt turbo?

nothing to do yesterday, so I decided to go up 1 psi more, now I'm at 10 psi, everything ok

a/f 10.9

same engine, stock block.

i install yesterday a td04 turbo port, i got these turbo a few year ago, what do you think about these up grade?

you could also tune with a aem fic. im running a hahn 20g on 15 pounds stock bottom end. 12.2 afr with .5 degree of timing per pound of boost. i have put this motor thru alot of abuse. timing is key!

i like to refer to the stock srt4 turbo as the insta spool turbo!!

it should spool quicker on the 2.4 than a 2.0 as there is not as much air being pushed into the turbo from the engine but it is still a small turbo im hoping for a slightly slower than srt spool with a wider powerband when I get mine together although I might be closer having a .020 over engine Im more worried about when it hits full boost and how long through the rpms it can hold boost because it drops off from 22 down to 15 by 6k and I like rpms =] that's why im keeping the 2.0 is for the rpm capability and yes I know this car is only running 10lbs but if the spool is later on the 2.0 then the turbos capability will be pushed out

yes, stock block with 256 000 kms

future mods: fic, 16g evo6 turbo, evo 6 intercooler, wiseco pistons and eagle rods.

if i may chime in i was running 15 psi on a solid tune stock bottom end and i blew it up... save yourself the trouble and turn it down.
