well i finally got time to post pics. this all started with me buying a 2000 se and doing a full srt swap and painting it eblue. then i screwed by the dealer i bought it from and my bank never got a title so it was time to find a new shell

I got the shell from daver. total with shipping it cost me 1500. car had a decent amount of rust so i blasted the bay and whole underneath. i plan to make 450hp for this summer and hopefully run low 12s with the slicks and teins coilover, then over that time i will start building a block and head to have if the motor goes

Looks great man I love 2001 neon r/t's ... I like the look of the front bumpers when turbo'd... :lol: will you have the body work done as well in the summer.... with 450hp you'll be in the mid 11sec range for sure. What are you running for plugs / motor oil

i will be running mobile 1 10-40 in my motor and trans, and for plugs the ngk iridiums. dont remember the number right off hand. i will have more pics and updates soon

this is pretty neat.. why the valve cover swap.. and whats the new one.. newer gen stratus has the same bolt pattern as srt but different looking

from what i can see the ports on the new one are higher, probably to reduce the amount of oil being sucked up.
however why put them towards the front?

Yeah I'm curious what the story is on the first (red) valve cover... Did you modify an SRT one or is that off of another vehicle?

Both valve covers are off 2000 up 2.4 stratus with custom breathers

Yes bolt pattern is same let me know I have an extra I can put custom breather line on and catch can if ypi are interrested

I wish I had seen this a couple months ago... I just finished a two-color powdercoat on my stock SRT-4 valve cover :/


So you have this big azz turbo on there.... and a big FMIC. And an intake mani, and probably a larger TB. Boomba rail. What else? What size injectors, which fuel pump? Do you have a spec list for us?

100 degrees yesterday and mean a 12.4 at 116 with 1.9 60ft on a garbage prepped track getting closer to my goal

ran another 12.4 at 114 with 1.8 60ft i need to get 3rd gear in check then i will be 11s no problem
