So now it doesn't change no matter what you pull, injector or spark plug.

Are you talking about the coolant Recovery tank ??
It's from a Honda - BUT I don't know where / how he got the bracket, however.

I'd like to know where that bracket came from, too.... :-k

This thing beats the oem unit to hell for accessing the alternator adjustment screw. After struggling with the daughter's 1gn to adjust the belt, I knew changes were in order.

Edit: And yes, there is another 1gn with the exact overflow/mounting bracket a bit North of me.

For starters, the bracket will not fit a 2gn. And I think you unintentionally posted your question in this thread.

It is made from, IIRC, a HP computer case. I used the 1gn bottle to make a template for the mounting points, and raised it away from the firewall, so i could use the oem path for the fuel/brake lines.

The strap is a piece of metal banding, that holds material to skids for shipping. I just bent it so it conformed to the bottle, riveted it at the other end, and put a stud/nut on the visible side.

There is a molded place in the bottle to slide it into a Honda mounting bracket, but I was lazy, and didn't feel like fabbing one of those.

That sounds preety bad, like pull oil pan and inspect bad.
If the parts car is cleaner rust wise than your car, swap the inner dash panels (VIN) and use the parts car with your title.
But don't street race..!!??

Pan has been pulled. Spotless and clean in there. Allegedly the PO replaced the rod bearings, but the knock persisted.

I mainly pulled the pan due to the plug being stripped, and from the looks of everything else that had been done on the car, to make sure all the rod bolts were in fact still there.

I'm guessing it is wrist pin/piston related. Definite lope at idle. Couldn't possibly be due to #1 only having 35 psi on a compression test.

Unfortunately, I didn't really have a chance to drive it on the road until recently. No brakes whatsoever sort of keeps you from risking it. Not to mention all the other little issues. It never really knocked that loudly, until I got it out and drove it. Once it truly got warmed up, it let loose. Just moving it around, it was really pretty quiet. Even revving it to 3000 or so didn't make a sound.

Not to mention, it does not smoke one bit. A teaspoon of oil down the plug hole nets 130 psi compression. Sure points to rings, but there isn't any blowby out the breather either.

Normally you would have a lot of oil dripping out the air make up, and out the PCV from the positive pressure. All is quiet and peaceful there. I'm thinking the engine, if nothing else is living up to the car's name.

And it isn't even the original engine. My guess is '95 vintage. A '95 style clutch bolted to it is sort of a give away, but really means nothing.

But until I tear this thing down....

Well it is just the two outer roof panels so far.

Good old Appliance epoxy.

It beats just letting the damage rust, like it has been for the past X? years. Probably a good thing this poor car hasn't really seen ohio winter roads for a while, or there might be a lot less of it. I can only imagine what this neglect would have turned into if had actually been street driven in Indiana and Ohio the last few years.

I cleaned up, and Por 15'ed the axle back section, and appliance epoxy'ed under there. Don't has pic's yet.

Removed the rear fascia, cleaned and painted there also. Have to repair the attachig brackets, as the bolts had to be drilled out to get them off. One side is no longer available.

I will likely epoxy weld some stainless m6 x 1.00 bolts into the bracket. The square head bolts are not sold separately.

Flat screen lighting ain't just for television anymore, bitches. :D

I may incorporate more of this into the interior...

That is with just one LED, I will probably get a second one for the other end.

This is still one LED, and somewhere between 8 and 9 volts driving it. It is a bit brighter at 12 volts. So with 13.5 to 14 volts, it should be bright enough.

Also, once the fascia is white again, that will make a huge difference

Lolz, Gramps! Thanks for the mental image. I think.

The "Light Board" Is a piece of plastic from a flatscreen monitor that died at work. I just cut part of it off, and made it fit the 1gn bumper opening, drilled and tapped hole to fasten to the exiting holes.

I used aluminum tape to back the plastic, and attach the led. I will probably clear coat it to seal everything.

You could use some Lexan/Polycarbonate and do the same thing. Plexiglas is too brittle, and will shatter if you try do drill and tap it. Sometimes you get lucky with it, but at the minimum, that crap will crack on you.

I used to get scraps for 25 to 75 cents from the hardware next door for small projects, but they quit the business/retired.

The Flat screen plastic does have one side etched to disperse light, but I backed it with the aluminum tape for better results. You would need many more LED's without any reflective backing.

What is not shown, is I used part of that plastic, and glued it behind the plate mounting surface, and drilled/tapped it to hold the plate on, since the existing holes were trashed. It is about 3/8" thick.
