Lol, in the first shot, her (Wife's?) arms kinda blended in with the tire, and I couldn't figure out WTF was on the skirt.

Glad you got her recruited to "hand poses" for the neon.

Well, unless the is a dude with a damn nice manicure....

It still amazes me how a lot of 1GN and 2GN parts are interchangeable- I had no idea when I got my first 2GN. Lookin' good other than the snow pic. :sad2:

^ because I don't plan to put them on till I have all the other pieces ready. Those pieces are front and rear lip I still have to sand down and paint. I got some wheels I need to strip and repaint. And then slap my headlights on there. Probably in a month I'll install everything.

I'm pretty sure that the gray trim was factory molded on the bumper.

The front fascia matches the rear. It was how they came from the factory. I can't recall if the side moldings were color matched or not. I think only the Highlines/R/T's got color matching trim?

not much of an update but here goes,

installed headlights. love them. light output is amazing.

got an appointment on tuesday for window tint finally.. i was back and forth on wether i should get them tinted but finally i decided to go ahead and get them done. tired of the sun shining down on me while driving.

got new tires in. waiting on 4th one to come in smh. once i get all 4 i will install and balance on rims then i can put them on car and adjust suspension to get proper fitment so maybe in 2 weeks they will be on and in 3 weeks ill have lip kit on there too so by the end of March we can maybe see a complete shot of everything.

Image

They are falken 912 tires. cant wait to see how they perform.

some cheap ones i paid $100 for. i would show a picture but i dont think they look good right now. once i respray them they will look better. probably by the end of the week ill be able to show a pic of them. they are 14" i didnt want to go any bigger plus didnt feel like spending lots on rims when i got other stuff i want to spend money on like still need rear suspension bushings etc.

Such a fun car isn't it!? You went from a SXT to SRT-4 to GTO then to a 1st gen correct? I too have a 1st gen DOHC 5 speed. Mine is bone stock, but man it is a blast to drive. Plus everything is cheap to fix.

Car looks super clean BTW, That red paint looks amazing. Original paint?

Hell yeah its fun to drive, i never liked them before i got mine. yeah i honestly love this more compared to my gto i used to have. GTO was gas haug and this i fill up every 3 weeks or so. plus they feel so light weight compared to anything ive driven before and i love it. and yeah parts cost next to nothing for 1gns.

yes original paint for now. its been taking care of, im starting to get pee;ing clear coat on my hood, roof and trunk areas but i plan to find another hood and trunk of same color to swap with and respray the roof in the future or just spray it black. but it deffinitely shines good when i wax the car. for being an 18yr old car the paint is great.

Alright finally had some warm weather to paint rims. heres a preview pic. its Copper color.

before: pic doesnt show it but clear coat on all of them was peeling and what not. also they come with center caps that cover up the entire center so no u cant see the lug nuts.

they came out good and not bad for $100 wheels.

Image

Image

they look brighter in person as well when the sun hits them.
Image

now i just have to wait for actual warm weather to put wheels on because its cold now again and i want to wait for full summer weather to put wheels on plus once i get a good day i can change out my tie rod ends and inner rods put wheels on go for alignment and then after that its put the lip kit on. all that in about 2 to 3 weeks max i hope.
