Thanks.FAC3L3SS wrote:Dang I can dig this. I'm nitpicky with my junk, and the point where the skirts meet doesn't match up with the door, but from far enough away you can't even see the mating point on the skirts. This looks good, one of the few 1gns I enjoy looking at.
No rear lip please!
And why no rear lip..? I too think it looks good as is but I got this rear lip sitting here collecting dust. I may sell it if I decide to not install it. It's the wings West rear lip btw in case you know what it looks like. Think it wouldn't flow nice..?

hmm. yeah i hear ya.FAC3L3SS wrote:I think it looks better without. The skirts and front are pretty close for fitment and maintain that same "bubbly" neon feeling. I think after trimming / heating / molding to make it fit, it would kill the cleanliness and body lines.
about to upload a pic here in a second. let me know what u think of it then with it on there.theColonel wrote:It doesn't look balanced with side skirts, and no rear lip. My suggestion is to have somebody do it both ways in Photoshop, then compare
ckrock946 wrote:i want to see a photoshop of it with the lip, i think it looks absolutely fantastic as it is
here it is. some quick unpainted pics of it just to get an image of what it will look like.
i like it but then again i like it without as well. i almost just want to sell it and gain some money back on it.

Yeah the fins you see on the back. If those could be trimmed away I think it would look great.Neon4Life wrote:FAC3L3SS wrote:I think you just made me eat my own words. Paint that sucker red and rock it!

God yes. Yesssss.
Um, yes.
Those wheels aren't spectacular, but they're the perfect color and just blend in enough to make you look at the car as a whole, not a body with wheels on it.
Yes.
I'm an arrogant cock with no room to speak whatsoever, but damn you've come a long with since that blue bucket.

hey look I haven't posted in a month in a half. well heres a few new pics.
I was trying to solve a clunk problem I had. it was driving me nuts and I think I finally tracked it down to the lower control arm bushings going bad already after only 10months on there. see pics. now it was mostly my fault it went bad and the reason it was clunking sometimes is also my fault because I didn't read the instructions of re-torque the bolts after first 50 miles so they were loose and that's what caused the clunk noise by my feet.
drove it a few miles yesterday and everything seems great. now need to get alignment so all is straight for the long Carlisle trip next week.
anyways here are some pics of what the old bushings looked like. so dirty and filthy. that's what daily driving does to it.
keeping it in the shade on the long hot summer days.
dirty and deformed
