And here is the big reveal.
I love them. Exactly what I wanted.
Love the tire thread and look.
These are definitely a step up from my old 14" wheels.
I probably won't be doing a test fitment until later this coming weekend.

205/45/16 Vision Cross wheels 7" wide rim.

Yeah post them up on your ride. I see they are $80 a rim. That is cheap! 18lbs a wheel in 16x7. Great color choice. That style of color is what I want to go with on my next set for sure.

Yes can't beat that price. I think they were priced reasonably. They make them in 14s all the way to 19s.

Here you go guys. Perfect fitment. No rubbing etc.
Got some new spline lug nuts in the same color to match as well. This is all I have for now. In a few weeks once winter is gone they'll go on full time. Image

Not yet. I didn't put them all on. Just put 1 on for picture purposes. Spring weather is upon us tho, here in Indiana at least. So I might put all 4 on by this coming weekend. Maybe have new full pictures by Sunday night.

Guess I spoke too soon on the weather. It's back to cold. Maybe another 2 week and wheels will be on.

Update on the hood. Decided im too busy to work on the hood so I took it to a bodyshop guy a buddy recommended me and he gave me a price I couldnt say no to. Hood will be ready in about 3 weeks.

The old wheels had the retro 90's look. The new ones have a new "today" look to them. I really like them, great choice.

They sort of look like Silverstones, which would bring them up a few years out of the nineties.

Ha I hadn't thought I'd it that way. But yes it definitely looks more modern now.

Not enough seat time yet to make a great comparison. But they feel good so far.

Anyone know how much extra hp my car will make with this decal. Hahaha. Image

Well replaced yet another part that should of been replaced along time ago.
These are not oem gaskets. They are much thicker and can be purchased on eBay for around $36 for the 2.
I just installed them and comparing old to new is wow. No wonder the stock ones leak water into the trunk. Hope to have a nice water free trunk now. Only time will tell. Image

i had used that brand gasket before! i had to lean on the taillight and push it in to get a few threads started. much better than OEM

The OEM gaskets are pretty decent, until you try to re use them. Once the screws are loosened, you may as well plan on replacing them. I used a hollow white door seal gasket on my '99. I glued it to the tail light and let the rubber type material seal against the body. Cost about $8 and time/effort. So far those are working out quite well.

I do have a set of Detroit Muscle gaskets on the shelf though. I used the generic seals to get by until the ebay ones arrived. But they are still sealing, so....

Thanks Chris.

Finally got around to installing my proper oil catch can that Ive had since about this time last year. Just now felt like fixing it and installing it. One of the top bolts was damaged so I had to drill it out and just use some self tapping screws. It's not pretty but I don't go for pretty I go for what works ha.

My old catch setup was 2 air compressor water/oil seperators. It worked but wasn't the greatest.

This new one is a direct copy of the mishimoto small compact oil catch can. Has baffling inside etc. So should work great.

Installed it right there to the left of the radiator.

Maybe sometime in the near future I'll jump at the chance of buying a fuse box/pcm relocation harness from chip. It would so clean up the right side of the engine bay if all that junk wasn't there. ImageImage

I believe I'm going to paint it flat red. Dont want to clear coat it and have this nice new shiny piece next to a bunch of peeling clear coat.

Probably due to scratching the underside up. Everyone is different. I personally wouldn't lay a hood on a driveway concrete without laying a tarp or blanket down first. I always cringe when I see people selling hoods and they have the nose side down on concrete up against a wall or something. Now that is worse! haha

Hood looks awesome!

Meh, it's CF, so there isn't much weight there. It doesn't look like the front edge is touching. Any small scratches on the underside can be easily covered, as it's just primer, and it isn't like it's ever going to rust. Maybe if it was nice and shiny, it would bother me, if it were mine.

As far as paint, I personally would go with a gloss, on the underside, so it cleans up easier from under hood grime.

I can see your point with wanting flat on the topside, but you can't wax flat paint. Maybe compromise with a semi gloss/satin?
