short answer is no if you just want to plug and play

long answer is... it is possible... but the 03 has a different crank trigger, the crank sensor is on front in the 03+ rather than the back in the 95-02

also the cam magnet is different but could be changed.

hope it helps

no you can't use the computer from an 02 if you have an 03. only way to get rid of it is buy an 02 or older neon or install MS and not pass emissions?

Fixed.

Totally incompatible.

Seriously people, this is 2019 not 1920.

i know this will spark debate but since youre new and probably dont search ill throw this out there...i am a firm believer that the NGC code is not the issue but the 9.3:1 compression is the issue. i just dont see how DCX chose to loose .5 compression and maintain 135 hp. put dohc pistons in or mill your head (either way just about the same amount of work) and i bet you will be happy with the results though you probably will still not be a b18 killer

Compression alone won't give you much of a noticeable gain.

The daughter's 1gn has a DOHC bottom end SOHC head. Didn't really know it until the head was pulled.

Granted, I don't have a 9.8:1 1gn ATX to compare, but there wasn't anything that screamed out: "Hey, this thing is pretty strong for what it is"...

Just sayin. But add a few things to take advantage of the higher CR, and you might see some noticeable gain. Just have to keep the input parameters within range. Things the PCM reads for F/A ratio...

Or get a reprogrammed SRT PCM/ MS

i bet advanced timing from an NGC r/t pcm would make it stand out plus throw in the r/t mani. hell if your pulling the pistons throw in a comp 400 and some mag springs. you'd have a pretty forbidable N/A motor (for a neon sohc anyway)

As other's have said, there's absolutely nothing wrong with NGC...it actually works to our advantage when you really wanna get serious about making more power with tuning :)
