This section is dedicated to pointing out which components are interchangeable from year to year. All PL models are covered, from the early Neon to the SRT-4, and everything in between. Only the more popular items are included due to the massive amount of time required to research this topic. Please feel free to PM this forum's moderators with additional discoveries and/or suggestions.

ENGINE/POWERTRAIN

Engine - complete
SRT to non-SRT
Requires SRT mounts and all SRT accessories (i.e. intercooler). May require some modification of lower radiator support to fit IC on non-SRT cars.

Exhaust (cat-back)
All models
SRT to non-SRT requires exhaust cutouts in rear fascia, all models.

Exhaust Manifold

SUSPENSION/CHASSIS

Wheels
All models
SRT-4 wheels require SRT suspension or much lower profile tires for proper clearance on non-SRT vehicles. Non-SRT 15" OEM wheels will not fit over SRT-4 brakes.

Brakes
All models
SRT-4 brakes will not work with stock 15" wheels. SRT rotors and/or pads are not interchangeable with base model Neon calipers. SRT brake calipers, rotors, and pads will not interchange with non-SRT items. SRT brakes can be swapped onto non-SRT cars but require the spindle (rear) and steering hub (front) for proper mounting.

Coil Springs

Stabilizer Bars
All models
Base-model Neons that are not equipped with a rear stabilizer bar from the factory cannot use one from another vehicle/aftermarket due to a lack of mounting tabs on the OE dampers.

Strut-tower braces
All models
Non-SRT-4 vehicles cannot use certain front STB's due to hood clearance. Hood spacers or an SRT hood swap are required in these cases (i.e. DC SPORTS CS-2).

SRT hood is slighty shorter than all non-SRT hoods. Fits but will leave a small gap between hood and front fascia.

00-02 require headlights from 03+ to fit and vice versa.

Rear Fascia

00-02 require taillights from 03+ to fit and vice versa.

Decklid (trunk)
