Racing games for the PS3

I am getting a PS3 within the next week or so and I am looking for good racing games for it. Does anyone have any preferences? I was told Grand Turismo 5 is a good choice. Does anyone played it on the PS3?

Even though I am still waiting on the PS3 to get here within the next week. I went out and bought GT5 XL Edition. Got it for only 2.83.

I had a bunch of Wii games to trade in and happened to do it while GameStop has a promotion going on.
